Greetings! The right has leaped to the defense of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker. In a commencement speech at conservative Benedictine College last week, Butker urged women to embrace the role of homemaker and wife. The NY Post’s Kirsten Fleming wins the award for the most offensive justification of Butker’s remarks: “I’m a big believer in knowing and speaking to your audience. And his audience was not the University of Chicks with Hairy Armpits”…Whoever is composing The Donald’s Truth Social posts needs a punctuation lesson. Subtitle says it all: “The inside story of presidents in crisis.” The “Good Morning America” anchor examines dozens of White House denizens in their darkest hours including John F. Bush, and most notably Donald Trump during the Jan. 6 insurrection…Cliff Sims, ex-Trump White House Director of Message Strategy, just came out with his second tome and I hope it’s better than its snooze-inducing title: The Darkness Has Not Overcome. Inside, Sims promises to reveal lessons he learned about faith and politics while cruising through the halls of right wing power.
