June Traffic Slumps for Majority of Right-Wing Websites
Trump’s Truth Social Ranks as Second Largest Conservative-Friendly Social Network
July 28, 2022, New York, NY – Only five right-wing news websites posted year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of June 2022 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data. The Epoch Times experienced a 34% YOY gain in June to lead all top conservative websites listed in TheRighting’s top 20 chart for June. The other websites included the Daily Wire, Redstate, the Daily Signal and the Washington Free Beacon.
Traffic to the website of former President Donald Trump, DonaldJTrump.com, continued to decline sharply. It dropped 80% to 284,000 unique visitors, compared to 1,420,000 in June 2021. Other weak performers who didn’t even crack TheRighting’s top 20 included Infowars (131,000 unique visitors; -68%), Hannity.com (139,000; -84%), and CNS News (166,000; -83%).

Among the three mainstream news brands TheRighting follows, only the New York Times brand generated a YOY increase in unique visitors for June 2022 (+16%). The Washington Post saw a drop of 12% vs June 2022. CNN registered 122,030 unique visitors in June 2022, which underperformed June 2021 by just 2%.
The Truth About Truth Social Traffic
June 2022 marks the first time TheRighting is analyzing monthly traffic to Donald Trump’s Truth Social website, which launched in February 2022. Based on TheRighting’s examination of Comscore data, the site is off to a strong start relative to other social platforms in its space. All three social sites with year-ago data available saw double-digit declines in YOY traffic. Here are the June 2022 unique visitors for the five conservative-friendly social media platforms TheRighting follows:

· Truth Social (1,891,000; year-ago data NA)
· MeWe (1,330,000; -27% vs year ago)
· Gettr (927,000; year-ago data NA)
· Parler (437,000; -69% vs year ago)
Each month, TheRighting examines Comscore data on dozens of prominent conservative websites that post original content. TheRighting ranks the top 20 conservative websites on the basis of unique visitors and also provides data on whether unique visitors have increased or decreased year-over-year.
