TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! I bailed on Trump’s speech at the top of the hour last night. All the lies, boasts and grievances dented my brain.  Right on schedule this morning, right wing media praised the speech as you’ll see in my roundup.  The Washington Examiner was the only outlet I saw from the right that expressed some skepticism describing it as “style over substance”…Ben Shapiro, the world’s most popular conservative podcaster, yesterday launched a campaign urging President Trump to pardon Derek Chauvin.  The former police officer was convicted in the 2020 murder of George Floyd.  Shapiro maintains that the evidence of the case did not support the claim that Chauvin was responsible for Floyd’s death.  Furthermore, Shapiro asserts that the conviction of Chauvin “represents the defining achievement of the Woke movement in American politics”…Another day, another Wall Street Journal editorial condemning Trump.  Last night, the Murdoch-controlled news outlet told the harsh truth about tariffs in this simple five-word headline: Trump’s Tariffs Whack Trump Voters. And just to rub it in even more, the subhead read, “”Whatever happened to the GOP concern for the working class?”…The Canadian comedy program “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” posted a hilarious video of the Zelensky-Trump Oval Office showdown.  It really gives “SNL” a run for its money…In case you were wondering, Deputy Director of the FBI Dan Bongino is giving up his day job as a nationally syndicated right wing radio host and podcaster.  He will be replaced by Vince Conglianese and the show will be rebranded as “Vince.” Here’s the press release…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Trump Now Stands Astride American Politics Like a Colossus

Trump's speech was the longest, most boisterous, probably most partisan, and almost certainly most triumphant address to the legislative branch in modern American history and very likely in the mass-media age.

The new president has a lot to boast about, but his fiscal and economic promises could set him up for failure.

The speech was a masterclass in leadership, political theater, and well-timed traps for the Democrats... who walked right into them.

Trump Shows Why He’s the Next Great American Communicator

source: Daily Signal

What Trump communicated through his unique, off-the-cuff style is that American energy is back. Media elites hate it, his supporters love it, and it drives his opponents crazy because they can’t stop it. Americans don’t want to hear polished “corporate speak” anymore.

America’s Orator in Chief

Most things have been said about President Donald J. Trump in his life. After Tuesday’s comeback speech and his first six weeks in office, it’s time to add “historic orator.”

Trump’s Rousing Address Puts Dem Clowns to Shame

source: NY Post

Dems were a sad, shrunken presence, especially after one of their main stooges, Rep. Al Green of Texas, got himself ejected by repeatedly interrupting. He was the lucky one. Those Dems who stayed were like fish out of water, waving their silly little paddles.

Left Still Whines as Trump Keeps Winning

source: Newsmax

After being badly beaten in the November election, many of the losers are digging their heels in, apparently learning nothing. They have already succeeded in rendering liberalism intellectually bankrupt, and now they are well on their way to destroying the Democratic Party.

Disgrace in DC

Angsty Dems jeer as Trump makes childhood dreams come true.

Dems at Trump’s Speech Beg for Shovels to Dig Their Own Graves

source: PJ Media

As Trump gave a joint address to Congress last night, the struggling Democrats decided that the best way to respond would be to act like petulant, unstable children who aren't getting hugged enough at home. It was a truly pathetic spectacle.

Dem Reaction to Trump’s Speech Might Be a Huge Boost to Him

source: Townhall

Voters didn’t like the disrespect, the antics, the signs, and the whiteboards—all of which paint an unserious picture of a party that reverts to middle school class election tantrums when they don’t get their way.

What Junk Mail Reveals About the Culture War

By Chris Rufo: Many organizations appear to recognize—at least in their public communications—that they had strayed from their missions. Their new messaging signals a return to fundamentals: companies focusing on profit, universities on knowledge, and schools on education.

Germany’s principal problems are immigration and Islam. The tragedy was set into motion by Conservative Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Hope the Short-Term Pain of Trump’s Tariffs Bring Long-Term Gain

source: NY Post

Once again, Trump has cast conventional wisdom to the wind and imposed hefty tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China, triggering ideologue freakouts. Chill. Predicting the fallout is a fool’s game; wait and see what actually happens before jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Happy Tariff Tuesday where the question of the day is will rising consumer prices and a sinking stock market lead to a big drop in The Donald's poll numbers?...Once again, the Wall Street Journal sticks it to the MAGA-in-Chief. Trump Takes the Dumbest Tariff Plunge screams last night’s WSJ’s  headline. The film focuses on the storied career of Graham, who in 1963 became The Washington Post’s publisher after her husband’s suicide. She famously – and courageously – helmed the newspaper during the Watergate scandal that toppled Richard Nixon’s corrupt administration.  Ironically, it debuted last week on the Jeff Bezos-controlled Amazon Prime Video. Of course, Bezos owns the WaPo too, where his reputation is up in flames by forcing the Post's opinion pages to assume the position to Trump 2.0 …Real America’s Voice host Brian Glenn, who drew condemnation for questioning Zelensky’s fashion choices for his disastrous meeting last Friday with two Oval Office bullies, is Marjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend.  Glenn says he’s received thousands of death threats for his remarks about the Ukrainian President (Daily Beast)… Victory Girls has called right wing influencers “clowns chasing clickbait” Agree!…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
