Greetings! Trump is once again sticking his beak into places it doesn’t belong. He’s upset about pitcher Roger Clemens’ omission from the baseball Hall of Fame.  Clemens, who won more than 350 games in his career, had his legacy tarnished by serious accusations of drug use that may have enhanced his performance on the mound.  Trump wrote in a Truth Social post last night that he’s not in the Hall “because a bunch of jealous people with far less Talent, voted that he shouldn’t be there.” (Memo to Natalie Harp, Trump's ghostwriter:  perhaps you can explain at some point why you decided to capitalize “Talent.”) My suggestion to Trump is that he should spend more time trying to solve his Middle East quagmire and let MLB and baseball scribes worry about the far less consequential Hall of Fame... Crash! Far-right conspiracy theorist and Trump buddy Laura Loomer reports that Angie Nixon, described by Loomer as Florida’s communist state representative, crashed her car four times between 2009 and 2013. Nixon is running as a Democrat for a Senate seat in November.  It appears that the opposition research is just beginning to heat up......DSA the Movie: That's what the conservative entertainment blog Hollywood in Toto is calling the upcoming theatrical movie “How to Rob a Bank."  “The trailer all but screams DSA, the radical wing of the modern Democratic party that doesn’t believe in law enforcement, let alone capitalism,” writes editor Christian Toto.  “Here’s betting New York’s own Zohran Mamdani will likely be first in line on opening day.” The film opens September 4....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. The country seems united in mourning the passing of Nashville legend Dolly Parton...Strangest movie premiere of the year.  The Gateway Pundit is producing and releasing what is apparently its first film.  The feature-length documentary “American Martyrs” will have its premiere September 26 at an undisclosed theater somewhere in West Palm Beach, Florida, probably not too far from Mar-a-Lago, the dark heart of the MAGA empire.  The movie examines the cases of five men involved in the J6 insurrection. Not surprisingly, they are portrayed favorably. There’s not a lot of specific information posted on the Pundit’s website although the four-minute trailer specifies that it features interviews with the likes of Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and Lara Logan, names I hoped I would never hear again.  Tickets for the one-night-only event start at $75. If you fork over $199, you get the VIP premiere experience which includes the companion book. My biggest question: Will Trump attend the movie?... Sinking sales of Trump schlock: At least three Trump merchandise superstores have closed their doors.  Fast Company reports that outlets in Nashville, TN; Vernon, CT, and Bensalem, PA, have all folded or are going out of business.  “The story of the closures is the same,” writes journalist Hunter Schwartz. “The demand just isn’t there anymore.” Schwartz also points to the greatly reduced prices at the Trump-controlled online store as another sign of the president’s declining popularity. Worth nothing: Trump’s family business offers in excess of 1,500 Trump-branded products.
