Greetings! There’s a lot to like about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as Kamala’s Veep choice.  However, I’m not completely sold on him because he doesn’t do enough to lock down Pennsylvania for the Democrats. And Walz (60) and Kamala (turning 60 in October) ain’t exactly the youth ticket I was hoping for.  The Minnesota governor has spunk as he exhibited in his first official campaign appearance in Philadelphia late yesterday afternoon (here's the 18-minute video).  However, Josh Shapiro would have projected more youth and vitality that the ticket needs. And he’s geographically desirable..Those nasty right wingers keep raining on the Dem parade by reminding voters that Walz is younger than Brad Pitt…Trump is really howling at the moon on Truth Social.  In this post, he predicts that Biden might crash the DNC in Chicago later this month to take back the nomination and secure another chance to debate.  The ex-POTUS also has a new name for Kamala.  He calls her Kamabla (sorry, I don’t get the joke)… Not classy! Favored derogatory nickname for Governor Walz now being used by right wing media: Tampon Tim…Clever! A video just posted by the Daily Signal is headlined: “Harris Contracts Walzheimer’s”…Dept. of Surprises:  Foxnews.com has published an op-ed from former Rep. Charles Djou (R-HI) endorsing Gov. Walsh.  “More than ever, America needs a normal guy like Tim Walz to help lead our nation and bring us together,” he writes.  This is a rare instance of a right wing media outlet not trashing the selection of Walz to the Harris ticket…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz wasn’t on my betting  card in the Veep sweepstakes.   I’m taking a 24 hour pause to digest Kamala’s surprise running mate choice.…A rare issue both  Republicans and Democrats can agree on: Robert Kennedy Jr. is way weird.  Just check out his dead bear in Central Park story (NY Post)…“How did a bunch of rich dudes who run corporate America become the tools of left-wing radicals?” That’s the promo copy for the nonfiction book from Fox Business News’s Charles Gasparino who just dropped Go Woke, Go Broke. Gasparino explores what he calls  “the progressive madness that has infected and corrupted the world’s biggest corporations”…Speaking of books, the NY Times’ Michelle Goldberg revealed that GOP VP hopeful and Cat-Lady-Hater JD Vance blurbed a nonfiction book by right wing activist and conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec.  The book, Unhumans, explores the history of communist revolutions with suggestions on how to crush them.  Vance’s blurb said in part: “In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through H.R., college campuses and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people.” Seems like Vance becomes more of a liability to Trump every day…It’s never too early to think about holiday shopping: Proud Patriots is hawking Donald Trump “keep fighting” bobbleheads featuring the bloodied ex-POTUS raising his fist in defiance “including spring at the wrist.”  Price: a head-spinning just a shade under $50 if you include the hefty shipping fee…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
