Greetings! The right is beginning to speak out against ICE’s deadly Minneapolis rampage. Most prominently, the Wall Street Journal editorial board called for “ICE to pause” operations in the Twin Cities. Other right-wing outlets critical of ICE in the aftermath of the weekend’s horrific killing of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti, include National Review, Townhall, and The Free Press, which charged the Trump administration for “taking the American public for fools”... Donald Trump can’t keep his climate change story straight, as TheRighting’s subscriber Arthur Ahrens pointed out to me over the weekend.  Last Friday, The Donald openly wondered about “whatever happened to global warming” in a Truth Social post about frigid temperatures soon to pummel the east.  “Funny how Trump  questions a global climate crisis, meanwhile claiming that he wants Greenland because new shipping lanes are opening in the Arctic due to Global Warming,” Ahrens wrote me...In recognition of both the dangerous snow and icy conditions blanketing at least half the country and ICE’s Minneapolis occupation army, I present my random list of movies with the word “ice” in the title:  “The Ice Road” (2021), “Ice Age” (2002), “The Ice Storm” (1997), “Miracle on Ice” (1981), “Ice Station Zebra” (1988), “Ice Castles” (1979), and ultimately “The Ice Follies of 1939” (1939), not to be confused with “The ICE Follies of 2026”... Righties, rev your outrage engines. Radar Online reports that Super Bowl halftime headliner Bad Bunny will perform in a dress to honor “queer icons.” Hamilton Porter, a writer for the conservative Not The Bee has already snarked, “I thought it was the National Football League, not the National Gay-To-The-Max League.” My prediction: Trump plays up the Bad Bunny controversy to distract the country from the violent Minneapolis occupation and his crumbling poll numbers...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Greetings! Offensive! Earlier this week, ICE launched “Operation Catch of the Day” in Maine, per Big League Politics. The federal law enforcement trawling expedition’s aim is to snag those undocumented immigrants identified by ICE as the most dangerous living in the Pine Tree State where much of the economy is anchored by the fishing industry. ICE marketers may think the operation’s moniker is clever, but it reveals the lack of humanity driving this federal goon squad. Furthermore, as any fisherman can tell you, when casting a wide net, innocent species often get mistakenly captured..Bari Weiss, the embattled anti-woke rookie chief of the now more MAGA-friendly CBS News, announced that she’s pausing her “Honestly, with Bari Weiss” podcast.” My guess is she’s too busy defending her dismantling of the legendary news organization to host a podcast. It appears as if her last program was yesterday. According to my research, she’s got about 13,000 subscribers on the Castbox podcast platform. Not too shabby, still not enough to land “Honestly” on TheRighting’s top 20 list (well below #20 “The War Room with Steve Bannon” which has attracted 20,000+ subs on Castbox)...Weekend Watch: I’ll be in DC this weekend glued to the Weather Channel and local  news outlets in anticipation of a giant Sunday snowstorm barreling across the country. Forecasters expect temps to nosedive into single digits so of course Trump posted “whatever happened to global warming?” My advice to those of you in the storm’s path: dig in, stay warm and stay safe...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
