TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Another day, another Wall Street Journal editorial slamming Trump.  The Journal’s editorial board scoffed at President Trump’s $20 billion lawsuit against CBS News for an interview “60 Minutes” conducted with candidate Kamala Harris.  “This looks like editorial judgment, not an instance of splicing footage to create a misleading response that never happened,” the editorial board wrote…Sign of the times: The Daily Caller has a “masculinity consultant” on its editorial team.  Goes by the name of Mr. Right.  Here’s his most recent article…Newsmax has compiled a list of the worst presidents in U.S. history.  They include Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Pierce, LBJ, FDR (!), Barack Obama, Joe Biden (natch) and Richard Nixon…The Washington Free Beacon observes that ads promoting service in the army are great again “after four years of woke nonsense under Biden.”  The article, which includes examples of recruitment ads under both administrations, pointed out that ads under Trump focus on conflict and fighting, and boast that “stronger people are harder to kill.” The Biden ads, the article says, showed service in the military as a way to “make friends from everywhere”…Rising right wing podcast star and MAGA fan girl Megyn Kelly is gushing about her Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans.  The former TV news personality posted 10 photos of her trip on her website including images with President Trump (and Don Jr.), James Carville, Karoline Leavitt and Elon Musk biographer Walter Isaacson.  Most telling, the final picture of the post features Kelly and her husband Doug on the plane ride home – in coach!  Right wing news stars, they’re just like us…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Electric-Focused Car Ads Absent from Super Bowl After Exploding on Biden’s Watch

source: Washington Free Beacon

By contrast, seven different ads for electric vehicles ran during the Super Bowl in 2022, several months after President Joe Biden signed an executive order compelling U.S. automakers to ensure that by 2030 roughly half of all cars sold in the country would have fully electric or plug-in hybrid engines.

Could “Emilia Pérez” Be the Final Nail in Oscars’ Cultural Coffin?

source: Hollywood in Toto

During the broadcast, we’ll be reminded that, "Emilia Perez," the most nominated film of the night, essentially cut the line for ideological reasons. Worse-case scenario? The assembled stars turn Oscar Night into ResistanceTM Theater, chasing away anyone who so much as considered voting for Trump.

Resettling Gaza

source: FrontPage

Trump is a visionary and his idea reframed the entire view of the conflict, and while it may only be an opening for a negotiating position, it has shaken up all the conventional wisdom in the Middle East. His basic premise, that Gaza will be a source of conflict as long as it is populated by Islamic terrorists, is fundamentally sound.

FEMA Hates America’s Mountain Folk

source: Victory Girls

By Toni Williams: The unelected bureaucrats of FEMA hate the mostly poor, mountain folk who live in Appalachia. That’s the closest I can get to an answer when I try to understand why the Federal Emergency Management Administration sent $59 million to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal immigrants.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Softball at the Super Bowl: Fox News’s Bret Baier’s Donald Trump  pre-game interview was as one-sided as the Philadelphia Eagles crushing defeat of the Kansas City Chiefs. Poynter's Tom Jones gave Baier’s bended knee sitdown with The Donald a big thumbs down…Would there be a Trump 2.0 if he had campaigned on the extreme MAGA-fest destiny measures he’s suggested (Canada becoming the 51st state, etc.) and making Elon Musk the nation’s defacto COO?  I’d have loved to see him defend his anti-democratic  positions in a debate with Kamala Harris. Ben Rhodes posits likewise in  this NY Times op-ed headlined “This Isn’t the Donald Trump America Elected”…The conservative editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal continues to hammer away at Trump.  Yesterday, the WSJ’s Mary Anastasia O’Grady took aim at Trump's claim that Chinese soldiers are working on the Panama Canal.  “Nonsense,” she huffed. “The Trump administration is making stuff up, swinging a big stick, and humiliating a friend”… FrontPage supports Trump's looney idea of resettling Gazans in Somalia because “nothing would make Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MI) madder”…Here’s a fringe concept that’s picking up steam in MAGA-nation: “pronatalism,”  a movement advocating that couples produce as many offspring as possible. The Washington Post profiled one prolific couple where the wife, who has endured several risky pregnancies, was quoted as saying, “I’m happy to die in labor.”  Worth noting: Elon Musk, the father of 11 children, is a pronatalist and so is JD Vance…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Trump Steals the Spotlight from Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl

source: Townhall

When the camera focused on Trump, the stadium erupted in loud applause, signaling a resurgence of unity across the nation. In contrast, Taylor Swift faced a very different reaction from the crowd compared to Trump. She seemed taken aback by the boos, her expression changing to one of nervous confusion as she realized she was being booed.

Trump’s Star Power Shines Brighter Than Taylor Swift’s at Super Bowl

source: PJ Media

Football fans have gotten used to seeing Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games and watching her on the jumbotron every five minutes, but this was the first time in history that a sitting U.S. president attended a game. We got a telling contrast in crowd reactions to Trump and Taylor Swift.

The Trump-Musk Partnership Is a Union of Geniuses

source: NY Post

They are just out of the starting gate and already are delivering dividends for taxpayers and the common good. The first target, the US Agency for International Development, proved to be such a cesspool of waste and leftist activism that it makes a slam dunk case for similar probes throughout government.

Kennedy inspired, Reagan led, and Trump fights. Each faced opposition, but only Trump has survived an all-out assault from the deep state and media elites.

USAID Is a Rogue Agency

source: Wall Street Journal

By Sen. Joni Ernst: My researchers learned that the aid that was supposed to alleviate economic distress in the war-torn nation was spent on such frivolous activities as sending Ukrainian models and designers on junkets to New York City, London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

Good Riddance to USAID

It is no wonder Elon Musk called the agency a "criminal organization."

At USAID, Funding for Terror-Tied Groups Goes Back Years

source: Washington Free Beacon

In some cases, USAID fought to conceal how taxpayer funds were spent. And when it came to Israel, officials recalled battling USAID over funding for groups that worked to undermine the Jewish state or maintained ties to terror organizations.

Instead of addressing the Aloha State’s multitude of dysfunctions, the government is prioritizing fighting Donald Trump.

How to Commit Democratic Party Suicide

The Democrats' radical overreach, election losses, and Musk-fueled government exposés have left them flailing, doubling down on failure instead of recalibrating for a political comeback.
