TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Good-bye April, hello May. And that means June Pride Month is a month away, and a mere 31 days to prep for a barrage of thinly disguised negativity toward the LGBTQ community from the Trump White House and its MAGA-media enablers…Missing billionaire found! In the wake of Tesla’s dismal first quarter financial results, Elon Musk has been mostly M.I.A. until yesterday, when the world’s richest man took a seat at Donald Trump’s cabinet meeting. The disastrous DOGE billionaire boss, thankfully, is about to exit government service…Trump-branded fragrances can be pre-ordered, but get ready to dig deep into your wallet for The Donald-infused scents. A bottle of cologne or perfume starts at the head-spinning price of $199. Smells fishy to me…During his first 100 whirlwind days, FDR passed 15 significant acts of legislation that helped the country climb back from the Great Depression. It included the Emergency Banking Act, the Federal Emergency Relief and the creation of the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Tennessee Valley Authority. Now that’s an impressive first 100 days…Dept. of Stick & Sticks: Illinois Governor JB Pritzker stepped into the national political limelight last weekend to attack Trump and got slimed by the right. American Thinker is leading the charge against the hefty Democrat heavyweight. The Thinker nastily suggests Pritzker’s campaign slogan should be “Make America Morbidly Obese Again.”  The tailor tag in his suit reads (according to the Thinker), “Peoria Tent & Awning”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Canada Jumps Over the Edge

The abused remain with their abuser, who has a renewed mandate to carry on with tyranny, censorship, a soft on crime catch and release policy, fiscal profligacy, and economic incompetence.

Canada Embraces the Collapsing Leftist Project

source: Townhall

The Leftist Project is in collapse. But apparently, Canadians haven’t gotten the message. Or maybe they allowed their personal pique toward Donald Trump and Canadians’ genetically ingrained inferiority complex toward their ginormous brother to the south get the better of them.

Canada’s “Lost Liberal Decade” Just Got Longer

Donald Trump just did what Trudeau couldn’t: make the Liberals electable again.

Canada’s Mark Carney Is Incredibly Dangerous

source: American Spectator

The 60-year-old didn’t rise through politics. He was not elected. He was installed — by the very institutions that profit most from technocratic control and public obedience.

Mark Carney, Eh?

Will Canada suffer through even worse federal policy than it did with Justin Trudeau over the past ten years?

How the Lights Went Out in Spain

The country flew too close to the sun—which is to say it relied too heavily on unreliable solar power.

Spain’s Green Dreams Turn into a Blackout Nightmare

source: SteveGruber.com

Spain boldly declared itself 100% renewable on April 16, 2025. But days later, much of Spain and Portugal plunged into darkness, leaving millions without electricity, and the rest of Europe wondering if maybe the sun and wind aren’t quite ready to run an industrialized nation solo.

Trump Is Likely to Win His Fight with Universities

The administration holds many cards, and it seems determined to play them all.

Elite College Slowly Commit Suicide

source: Daily Caller

Their tax-free status, with billions of dollars being handed to them with no accountability by the federal government, made elite universities tone deaf.

Harvard Finally Admits That Woke Politics Ruined the School

source: NY Post

Harvard University has admitted the ugly truth: The left’s long march through its faculty and administration has borne poisonous fruit in the form of blazing Jew-hatred and the overall ruin of its campus climate and curricula.

JD Vance Is the Most Powerful Vice President Ever

source: Conservative View from NH

He has already made major policy speeches at home and overseas and has come across presidential in every venue. Vance is that rare combination of a likable down-home kid and an Ivy League scholar who can relate to anyone. Throw in some military experience, and you have a formidable package.

Kamala Gave her Big Comeback Speech, and Holy Cow

It's as if she took all of the worst traits of her public persona and dialed them up several notches.

Democrats Have a Patriotism Problem

source: Washington Examiner

Hostility toward America is now a defining characteristic of the Left. This antipathy has been cultivated for decades by elite academia, celebrities, and Democratic leaders.

What’s Next for DOGE?

Can DOGE's massive success at cutting government waste continue?

How Racism Against Whites Was Legitimized by Marxist Multiculturalism

source: WND

Europeans were told to step aside and allow immigrants to arguably behave however rude they wanted, since they came from poor countries and "didn't know" any better. They were to be excused from law-breaking behavior such as violent rapes, murders or entering the country illegally.

NIH Renews Massive Funding for Fauci’s Infamously Cruel Monkey Island

source: The Gateway Pundit

The National Institutes of Health just renewed funding for Dr. Fauci’s infamously cruel “Monkey Island” off the coast of South Carolina. The Trump administration has been working to clean up Biden and Fauci’s wasteful funding of barbaric and outdated animal testing, but it seems that holdovers from the previous administration have other plans.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! I didn’t watch all of ABC News’ hour-long interview with Donald Trump last night. However, from what I observed, senior correspondent Terry Moran did a good job holding The Donald’s feet to the fire under challenging circumstances.  Still, the MAGA-in-Chief really knows how to Houdini himself out of tough questions. Worth noting: The Gateway Pundit says that Trump destroyed the “ABC hack reporter”…As if he didn’t have enough on his hands with wars overseas and a cratering economy, Trump has decided to stick his snout into the world of sports.  For example, he's pushing for a pardon for Pete Rose who received a lifetime ban from baseball for gambling on the game. On Monday, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred confirmed he met with Trump earlier this month to discuss Rose, per USA Today. Trump also claimed that he told New York Giants brass to re-sign star running back Saquon Barkley, who ultimately joined the Super-Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles.  However, several outlets, including NBC Sports, report the Giants have denied having any talks with Trump about Barkley. Any bets on whether POTUS  will jump into the controversy surrounding his pal Bill Belichick and the 73-year-old legendary NFL coach’s relationship with his  overprotective 24-year-old girlfriend?...The war in Vietnam ended 50 years ago today…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Bye Bye Canada

source: FrontPage

The Conservatives were defeated in Canada’s election on Monday. And it’s far from the great win for the country that the Liberal voters of Canada may think it is – unless they voted for their own country’s destruction, which we know is a desire rooted in the hearts of many leftists residing in any Western capitalist nation.
