Greetings! What MAGA civil war? There’s been a lot written about a deep divide between the isolationists and  Iran/Israeli interventionists of MAGA-nation.  Yes, there are loud outliers, notably Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson, who are harsh critics of the airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Still, the vast majority of what I’ve seen from right-wing media  over the last 36 hours has been full-on  support for The Donald’s bombs-away approach...Conservative NewsBusters monitored legacy media’s reaction to the Saturday’s Iran  bombing and concluded it was “mixed.”  NewsBusters  opined that “Biden sycophantic” ABC News tried “to frame the bombing as a broken campaign promise”...SecDef Pete “Hair Gel” Hegseth’s remarks at yesterday’s Pentagon press conference about the Iran bombing was short on substance and long on POTUS butt kissing, In an unforgiveable moment, he went out of his way to disparage the Biden administration.  Worth noting: Without a trace of irony, mere hours after the massive bombing, Hesgeth twice said the U.S. does not seek war. Greetings and happy summer solstice, the longest day of the year for those of us in the northern hemisphere...Without naming names, Donald Trump threw shade on the Juneteenth holiday in a Truth Social post last night. He wrote, “Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year”...Dept. of Stick & Stones: In another Truth Social post last night, The Donald called Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, “one of the dumbest and most destructive people in government”...Dept. of No Surprises: The Ammo website just published its annual gun ownership survey. It found that more U.S. civilians own guns than any other country in the world (duh!). There are more than a million guns in Texas alone, more than any other state in the union (double duh!).  Rhode Island has the fewest number of guns with just under 5,000... Spelling change. Yesterday, I introduced readers to my new made-up name for a system of government run by a demon: demoncracy.
