TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! NewsBusters is cheering The Atlantic’s just-published piece spotlighting the success of Donald Trump’s border policies in stemming the flow of illegal immigration into the country. Migrants Are Heading South posits that after the last few years where millions of migrants flooded into the United through Central America, under the Trump administration, the “flow is changing direction.” Worth noting: The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg is the journalist who was scandalously added to Pete Hegseth’s Signal group chat last month. Hegseth, you may recall, called Goldberg “a deceitful and discredited journalist”…Even The Donald’s most vocal supporters like the NY Post’s Michael Goodwin are expressing anxiety about the Trump administration's cascade of policy missteps of this month.  “The biggest problem is self-inflicted, in that an admitted agent of chaos has overindulged,” Goodwin wrotePJ Media targets David Hogg, the 25-year-old vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee, as “the man who murdered the Democratic party.”  Hogg just announced a $20 million fund targeting geriatric members of Congress who seem to be sleep-walking through their terms. His goal is to promote younger, more dynamic politicians. All eyes are on AOC. Worth noting: Last Friday,  octogenarian Democratic strategist James Carville diplomatically called Hogg, “a contemptible little twerp.” (The Hill)... The vocal  residents of Massapequa, Long Island, are fighting to keep the town’s  Native American logo and the Chiefs as the  high school team’s name.  Naturally, with wars raging in the Middle East and Ukraine, and insane trade policies cratering the global economy, Trump has jumped into this crucial issue with a Truth Social post. The NY Post has the details…Ex-NBC News chatting head Chuck Todd admits that the “deplatforming” of Donald Trump by the media was a failure. (Unleash Prosperity)…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

David Hogg’s Days as DNC Vice Chair Are Numbered

source: PJ Media

His stint as DNC vice chair is quickly becoming a textbook example of how arrogance and ignorance don’t mix. If he keeps running his mouth, he won’t just be a liability; he’ll be out of a job. For conservatives, it’s like watching a slow-motion implosion. And it’s glorious.

Elite Universities Should Take the Trump Deal Before It’s Too Late

source: Daily Signal

By Victor Davis Hanson: It’s a not wise thing for them to get into a fight with the federal government. If they are dependent on federal funding andnd they want federal money, then the federal government is going to ask for some transparency. And we, the public, really don’t know much about it.

Florida Universities Will Be the First to Carry Out Campus Immigration Enforcement

Five of Florida’s largest public universities are partnering with ICE, including the University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, University of Central, University of South Florida, and Florida International University.

Should Harvard Be Tax Exempt?

source: Wall Street Journal

There are better ways to reduce taxpayer money for schools and give them an incentive to reform. Mr. Trump could work with Congress to codify his order to limit the share of federal research grants that universities can spend on overhead to 15% since this money is fungible and thus supports politicized liberal arts departments.

The Supreme Court should recognize that parents have a right to shield their young kids from sex and gender indoctrination in public school.

“60 Minutes” Producer Quits, Citing Loss of Journalistic Independence

source: Victory Girls

All we ask is for some objective and balanced reporting. Yet the media along with "60 Minutes" have had their thumbs on the scale for a very long time. Now producer Bill Owens is out. And his memo proves he just doesn’t understand why we don’t trust the media anymore.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! If Donald Trump ruled over the Conclave of Cardinals the way he does over the GOP, his likely choice to succeed Pope Francis just might be the ultra-conservative  Raymond Burke, an American who for many years led the Archdiocese of St. Louis.  Cardinal Burke is an ardent Trumper who clashed with Francis over the late Pope’s position on marriage, divorce and the role of women in the church, according to many media accounts including The Daily Mail….A civil war may be brewing in MALA-land (Make America Laugh Again). Larry David, our nation’s greatest grouch, has a humorous NY Times op-ed imagining a 1939 dinner he had with Adolf Hitler. Without specifically mentioning Bill Maher’s infamous White House dinner with The Donald several weeks ago, David's satire nonetheless eviscerates Maher’s lame defense of the MAGA-in-Chief. Times Deputy Opinion Editor Patrick Healey has a companion essay to the David op-ed stating: “Larry’s piece is not equating Trump with Hitler. It is about seeing people for who they really are and not losing sight of that.” I wonder if Maher, who described Trump as “gracious and measured” after his meeting, will now curb his enthusiasm for POTUS and respond to his old pal Larry….Irony alert: the nation’s chief of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, had her bag stolen from a DC restaurant over the weekend containing  her passport, driver’s license, security badge, $3,000 in cash, emergency hair gel for Pete Hegseth and the secret password to SecDef’s Signal account (It’s 1,2,3,4  if you’re wondering).  That’s all true except the parts about Hegseth….The Washington Examiner observes that “Saturday Night Live” has gone anti-woke.  Hadn’t noticed but I’ll be watching for it…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Could the Pope’s Death Mean the Demise of Liberal Catholicism?

Pope Francis’ final audience with U.S. vice president JD Vance might have marked the divide between the past and future of the Church of Rome.

Egg Rolls and Eye Rolls: The Easter Weekend That Said It All

source: SteveGruber.com

The White House hosted its annual egg roll Monday on the South Lawn — a wholesome tradition following a weekend largely centered on Christian faith. It’s a refreshing contrast from the last administration’s tone — which declared Transgender Visibility Day on Easter Sunday.

Trump Adopts Special Easter Greeting That Godless Libs Hate

source: Western Journal

Trump has embraced his role as leader, or at least symbol, of a modern revival. He has spoken openly of how God has worked in his life, including crediting the Lord with sparing him from a would-be assassin’s bullet. Thus, if God has indeed chosen Trump, like Paul, to serve His special purpose, who could argue with divine wisdom?

Trump Won’t Get Tricked into Sacrificing Hegseth to the Dems

source: Townhall

By Kurt Schlichter: Let’s get right to the heart of the Pete Hegseth fake controversy. This isn’t about some Signal chat. This isn’t about some bullSchiff newfound interest in sensitive materials-handling that didn’t manifest until it became useful as a political weapon. This is about one thing: Taking down Trump.

Never Bow Up Against SecDef Pete Hegseth

He ain’t skeered. We aren’t and, most importantly, neither is President Trump. Yet, the Democrat Media Industrial Complex is still running their tired, old playbook of anonymous sources, smears and innuendo.
