TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The far-right One America News Network is going to provide programming for free to the Voice of America, which is funded by the U.S. government.  That’s according to VOA senior advisor Kari Lake. The VOA is supposed to be a neutral news source broadcasting across the globe.  In case you’ve forgotten, OAN erroneously stated that Trump won the 2020 election. And former far-right Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, who was accused of child sex trafficking, is one of the network’s prime time anchors. (Reuters)…What’s Trump’s worst idea since tariffs?  The editorial board of the Wall Street Journal says it’s drug price controls… Smart! Earlier this week, Trump announced that the 2027 NFL draft will be held on DC’s National Mall.  As much as it pains me to say this, the initiative really helps bond his movement to young men, a notoriously hard demographic to reach.  It’s one of the reasons ESPN chatting head Stephen Smith has been mentioned as a longshot Dem candidate in 2028. (NBC Sports)…Neil Kemp, one of TheRighting’s faithful readers in Canada, has a bone to pick with Americans voting Trump into office last November.  In his Letter to TheRighting, he writes that in Canada’s recent election, Canadians choose the liberal Mark Carney because he was anti-Trump and was “somebody to deal with the asshole you gave your government to.” Point taken Mr. Kemp!...And finally some good news about ice (the substance, not the federal agency). Newsmax reports that the Antarctic ice sheet had record-breaking growth between 2021 and 2023. Not sure I fully believe, but I hope it’s true…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.  Howard

The Left’s Favorite Propaganda Machine Has Become Weak

It’s been nearly five years since the death of George Floyd, and a new poll shows just how weak the left’s race propaganda machine has become since the festive, riotous summer of 2020, when Americans were enthralled by a poisonous, race-based ideology.

Michelle Obama Is Tired of Being Michelle Obama Again

source: Victory Girls

Michelle Obama is back at it—doing what she does best: complaining from the lap of luxury. This is the woman who once said she’d never been proud of America until Barack started winning elections. Now she flip-flops between resenting the country that made her rich and resenting the riches that came with it.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Memo to Sean Duffy: Your bumpy ride as Secretary of Transportation will become rockier today as the Real ID program kicks off at the nation’s already congested airports.  Expect air travel to become increasingly chaotic, especially in the wake of the terrifying news about air traffic controllers at Newark Liberty Airport losing contact with aircraft.  Suggested reading for anyone flying the unfriendly skies while the under-qualified Duffy remains at the helm: Erica Jong’s 1973 best-selling novel Fear of Flying…In recognition of the Mad King’s growing obsession with reopening Alcatraz as a prison, here are four movies that may be on Donald Trump's White House screening watchlist: Escape from Alcatraz, Birdman of Alcatraz, The Rock and Six Against the RockHelp wanted: The Daily Signal, a DC-based outlet affiliated with the conservative Heritage Foundation, is beefing up its reporting staff. After adding a Virginia-based reporter earlier this year, the company is seeking to hire an experienced Ohio-based correspondent.  “We decided to add Ohio next because it’ll also feature a high-profile governor’s race next year with Vivek Ramaswamy, plus it’s the home state of VP JD Vance,” Daily Signal President and Executive Editor Rob Bluey wrote me. “Ohio’s General Assembly is active on several issues we monitor, including education, elections, and ESG.” Smart move!…Megyn Kelly has the fastest-growing podcast in right-wing media, according to TheRighting’s exclusive research.  Since endorsing The Donald the night before the November 2024 election, the popularity of  “The Megyn Kelly Show” has soared…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Michelle Obama Has Absurd Complaint About Her Time Living It Up in the White House

source: Daily Caller

For Michelle Obama, a two-term life at the White House, almost completely funded by American taxpayers, simply wasn’t good enough. No, for Michelle to fully enjoy the luxuries of a first lady, not a single dime of her own money should be spent, ever. She expressed as much during a recent podcast appearance

Michelle Obama Has Become Even More Tedious

Barack and Michelle Obama are the recurring rash of American political tabloid news, continually finding mundane ways to stay in the spotlight. It's shallowness on parade and, in the case of Mrs. Obama, there's always a heavy dose of whining to go along with it.

Forget Alcatraz, Mr. Trump. Think Nevada

source: Daily Signal

Nevada has land. Lots of land. The Trump Department of Justice could build a big, beautiful penitentiary in the middle of the state, and there wouldn’t be a NIMBY for miles. The federal government already manages more than 80% of the land in Nevada.

Given that Trump 2.0 is only hundred days old, out of a more than 1400 of this administration, any news of the death of President Trump's agenda, even rumor of it being in disarray or worse, is no different than painting your daughter’s entire life red just because she put on red lipstick when she was seven.
