TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The Wall Street Journal is urging its readers not to blame DOGE, weathermen or climate change for the devastating Texas floods that claimed the lives of more than 100.  “The real culprit is cruel and fickle Mother Nature,” opines the WSJ...Who’s the worst person in politics?  The Daily Caller’s Natalie Sandoval says it’s Nina Turner, former Democratic State Senator from Ohio. However, Sandoval praised Turner for tweeting that GOP budget cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were not to blame for the Texas flood tragedy...American Thinker columnist Joseph D’Hippolito suggests that ultra-right podcaster Candace Owens may be an Iranian asset. “The time has come to consider whether Candace Owens’ criticisms of Middle East policy constitute treason” writes D’Hippolito. “During her interview with Piers Morgan on June 24, Owens encouraged American soldiers to seek dishonorable discharges to avoid fighting a possible war against Iran”...New on the political bookshelf: 2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America. It was written by three top political journalists: Isaac Arnsdorf, The Washington Post; Josh Dawsey, The Wall Street Journal; and Tyler Pager, The New York Times.  A book review in The New York Times, praises the timely tome.  However, it cautions anti-Trumpers. “For liberal readers, ‘2024’ is a book of what-might-have-beens. That makes for a punishing read”...Thanks for nothing, RFK Jr.!  Measles cases are out a 33-year high as an epidemic of vaccine-resistance sweeps parts of the country. Based on the reporting by NOTUS, they don’t seem to see anything wrong with this.

Mamdani’s “Radical Ingratitude” to the City and Nation That Gave Him Everything

source: NY Post

A pretty basic question concerns Mamdani’s qualifications for office. He’s 33, with a degree from Bowdoin on “Africana” — which, on the face of it, doesn’t bode well for the city.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! In case you were wondering over the July 4th weekend, Virginia ranks as the most patriotic state in the country, according to the personal finance website WalletHub. Arkansas must be singing the red, white and blues because it ranked as the least patriotic state, followed by New York...Elon Musk announced over the holiday weekend that he wants to start a third political party.  The declaration was short on details and long on ambition.  Nonetheless, it triggered this 336-word POTUS rant on Truth Social last night. My guess is that we’ll be hearing much more from Musk in the coming weeks.  There goes our sleepy summer. (Politico)...Tucker Carlson is set to release his interview with Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian. PJ Media thinks it’s a bad idea and has accused the high-profile controversy magnet as serving as a “PR lackey” for the Iranian regime...Is the new Superman movie woke? FrontPage thinks so because it’s about an “immigrant that came from other places.”  The American Conservative also weighs in on the two-hour theatrical film, describing it as “weird.” It opens Friday...And finally, congratulations to President Trump on the birth of his 11thgrandchild Alexander nearly two months ago.  Tiffany Trump, the president’s youngest daughter and wife of Michael Boulos, shared pictures of her baby for the first time July 3. All these many grandchildren increase the odds of the continuation of a possible Trump political dynasty.  Alexander the Great for president in 2064?...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Media and Dem Ghouls Blame Trump for Deaths in Texas

source: Victory Girls

They have been claiming, without evidence, that the DOGE cuts to the National Weather Service  and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are to blame for this tragedy. They would have us all believe that there were no warnings about flash floods. They would have us believe that, because of cuts, the warnings that were sent didn’t make it to the right people.

Rosie O’Donnell Blames Trump for Deadly Texas Floods

source: Townhall

“What a horror story in Texas,” O’Donnell said in a video posted on TikTok on Sunday. “51 dead. More missing. Children at a camp. When the president guts all of the early warning systems and the weathering forecast abilities of the government, these are the results that we’re going to start to see on a daily basis."

Mamdani’s Great Leap Backwards for NYC

source: Washington Times

Like an act at a carnival freak show, Zohran Kwame Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York, is both fascinating and nauseating.

Don’t Just Defeat Mamdani. Denaturalize and Deport Him

source: WND

America is for people who love and value and appreciate this country and our values.

Will NYC Fall for the Selfie-Entitled Mamdani?

source: NY Post

Mamdani may be presenting himself as the representative of struggling New Yorkers, but he himself is anything but. Privately schooled at the Bank Street school, he went on to study at Bowdoin College in Maine. From there he loafed around for a bit, trying to make it as a rapper before deciding to become a political activist. Truly a story of American struggle.

The Lure of Comrade Mamdani

source: Wall Street Journal

He says he respects differences. His radical utterances indicate otherwise.

Did Mamdani Benefit from Election Rigging?

source: Newsmax

New Yorkers are under the false impression that the taxpayer-funded New York City Campaign Finance Board is leveling the playing field to make voting for Gotham's next mayor fair. Just the opposite is true. The CFB is doling out obscene amounts of our money to tilt the scales in favor of left-wing candidates.

Dems Have a Hispanic Voter Problem

source: Washington Examiner

The idea that increasing the nation’s racial and ethnic diversity would necessarily benefit the Democratic Party presupposed that minority voters all think the same way — a disreputable idea embraced historically by many Democrats and some Republicans. New data from the Pew Research Center deal the theory a death blow

The Sexual Revolution Has Been a Disaster for Charlize Theron

source: The Federalist

The frat boy philosophy of sex is exactly what the sexual revolution sold to women. Frustrated by men who held too cheap a view of sex, third-wave feminists decided to reward them by making sex more accessible and commitment optional. As a result, women like Theron are bragging about what a low bar men must clear to sleep with them.
