Greetings! A call for violence: In a  shocking column for the Daily Caller on Friday, former editor-in-chief Geoffrey Ingersoll advocated for conservatives to respond with violence to the current political climate.  “In corrupt legal scenarios, where the judges, prosecutors and even police are all a part of a rigged system, what do we do? Choose violence,” wrote Ingersoll.  “We all know the government is not going to help you in your time of need. Especially a Soros-sponsored government. Conservatives looking to peacefully assemble and publicly debate need to be realistic. Nobody is going to help.” Ingersoll was the Daily Caller’s top editor from 2017 to January 2025.  Currently, he is an editor at large.  He is also the director of the National Journalism Center, which is part of the conservative Young America’s Foundation, according to his LinkedIn profile. Worth noting: Blaze Media appears to echo some of the same emotions in this article titled Why Turning the Other Cheek Won’t Stop the Godless Left...Hell or helluva town? Trump said Portland, OR, was like living in hell.  A Washington Post article yesterday described the city in a much different way: “For many Portlanders, the city is something closer to heaven. The trees stay green all year long. The coffee is good at every shop. You can get to a mountain or the Pacific Ocean in an hour, and if you don’t feel like traveling, there are bookstores and parks in every neighborhood, not to mention some of the best restaurants in the country.” Sounds like we need to send in an army – of food critics!....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Dept. of No Surprises: Last night, Donald Trump celebrated the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey with a venomous  post.  “One of the worst human beings this Country has ever been exposed to,” POTUS pontificated in his typical  fractured prose. “He has been so bad for our Country, for so long, and is now at the beginning of being held responsible for his crimes against our Nation.” This morning, the Accuser-in-Chief was at it again with an unhinged rant, calling Comey a “crooked cop”....Some right wing outlets are condemning the indictment.  For example, the National Review has called for the charges to be dismissed....Comey, who was appointed by Barack Obama in 2013,  issued an inspiring video response to the revenge-motivated indictment:  “We will not live on our knees,” he said in an instantly memorable line.  Worth noting: He added, “I have great confidence in the federal judicial system.” Can’t say I feel the same...Weekend Watch: Season 5 of Apple+’s Slow Horses returned two days ago with the promise of  another well-wrought,  action-packed season. The brilliant Gary Oldham is back as Jackson Lamb in London’s filthiest Burberry, overseeing a ragtag group of MI6 spies.
