It remains a lie today.  Clueless commentators, ignorant of its history, have been known to refer to the "antifa" movement as “strictly principled anti-fascists,” or a group that “protests fascism.” In fact, this is a movement of violent extremists whose philosophy traces back to the early 20th century.

Former Antifa member Gabriel Nadales sounded off on the riots in major American cities as many far-left activists take advantage of the untimely death of George Floyd...Nadales said the group today is much more violent than when he was a part of it back in 2011, which he says is due to "the fact that so many college administrators and college campuses that allow Antifa to work under their noses."

That adage came true this weekend as left-wing mobs turned on left-wing cities that have elected left-wing politicians for generations, many in left-wing states, and burned much of them to the ground. The monster came home.

Somehow, that was code to anchor Don Lemon that we are now about to become a dictatorship and that a declaration of war has been made on Americans.

What is particularly vexing here is that the looting and arson are taking place while the gears of justice are turning — the police officers in question were dismissed and the principal malefactor charged with third-degree murder.
