TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Asleep at the wheel while steering the free world: Mainstream media took note of Trump nodding off at his cabinet meeting yesterday, the second such incident in recent days. Predictably, almost all of right-wing media ignored the story.  If it happens again, I’m calling him the Dozing Don...What’s that horrible smell in my inbox? It’s an email from Trump Fragrances offering a Cyber Monday deal of 20% off on The Donald’s Victory47 fragrance which normally sells for $199. Who’s brave enough to take whiff?... Trump family news: Kai Trump, the president’s granddaughter, will be attending University of Miami next fall.  She will also be a member of the women’s golf team, class of 2030.  Her golfing career got off to a rocky start last month.  Playing in her first LPGA event, she finished last in the Annika tournament among 108 participants in Florida and missed the cut by 17 strokes. (USA Today).... The NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas blew it last night. The broadcast characterized Trump’s racist tirade against Somalia yesterday as merely “fiery rhetoric.” Such anodyne language normalizes the unhinged and divisive language that Trump routinely uses...The Daily Caller gives a big thumbs down – like much of mainstream media – to Trump’s jaw-dropping pardon of cocaine trafficker Juan Orlando Hernandez, the former Honduran president. The Caller said the pardon “was an irony that beggars belief”...Who needs a laugh, besides me? Billboard has compiled a list of the top 25 comedians of this century, which will be published in increments of five this week.  Number 25 is Jon Stewart, btw...If  you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. America’s Navy Did What It’s Supposed to Do: Sink the Pirates

source: American Thinker

The American navy is treating modern pirates the same way it treated the Barbary pirates: with hot lead and cold steel, no quarter asked and none given.

Dems Choke in Tennessee Special Election

source: PJ Media

Democrats and their allies in the legacy media spent the last few weeks hyperventilating about the possibility of flipping a deep-red congressional seat in Tennessee. But reality came crashing down on them Tuesday night when  Matt Van Epps was declared the winner of the special election for Tennessee’s 7th congressional district.

Tennessee Dem Aftyn Behn Loses Bid to Represent City She “Hates” in State She Calls “Racist”

source: Washington Free Beacon

Behn could not overcome a series of embarrassing revelations over her remarks about the city of Nashville, the state of Tennessee, and police. She expressed "hate" for country music, a staple of Nashville, and the bachelorette parties that have become a major tourism draw for the town.

Can Someone Let Biden Know He’s a Gay Icon Now?

source: The Free Press

The former president’s relationship with the gay community is at best transactional, so why are they giving him an award?

MTG Leads Charge to “Prosecute Fauci”

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! American Canto, Olivia Nuzzi’s tome detailing her cringy affair with Health & Human Services chief Robert F. Kennedy Jr. drops today. This head-snapping NY Post headline says it all: “Inside RFK Jr’s needy love, drug use and cringe poetry as Olivia Nuzzi book reveals how he hid his bad behavior.” My weather forecast today for the RFK Jr. home he shares with his wife Cheryl “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Hines is stormy with a 90% chance of screaming and a flood of tears. I imagine the RFK Jr./Nuzzi imbroglio is clouding the HHS Secretary’s future with the White House too...Yet another Trump administration cabinet cast member is also having a bad hair day. Sec. of War Pete “Hairgel” Hegseth is in the Congressional crosshairs as lawmakers begin questioning the legality of deadly air strikes that have killed dozens of alleged drug smugglers off the Venezuelan coast. (NYTimes)...Wacky headline of the day: “Will Marjorie Taylor Greene land at ABC’s daily morning show ‘The View”? Seems like a long shot, but Blaze Media just published this provocative headline: “Did Ana Navarro just float Marjorie Taylor Greene jumping ship to ‘The View’”?...Our newest contributor Randall Rothenberg offers up this essay focusing on two kinds of sinking ships: the Trump presidency, which is rapidly taking on water; and the vessels that are being targeted by Hegseth’s Dept. of War.  As Rothenberg eloquently puts it, “(W)e’ve now reached The Terror phase of this Revolution, where the MAGAtts are devouring each other”...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. source: Townhall

This proves WaPo lied about Secretary Hegseth and Admiral Bradley.

NYT to WaPo: You Lied About Hegseth

source: PJ Media

The New York Times report did not directly accuse the Washington Post of lying. But the New York paper did sic no fewer than four DC-based reporters on the story and failed to find even one anonymous source to back up WaPo's claim.

Shooting the Wounded on Drug Boats?

source: Wall Street Journal

The charge of deliberately killing the defenseless is serious enough to warrant a close look from Congress. That includes Mr. Hegseth giving an account under oath. The Administration so far seems to think it can ride out the story with ritual denunciations of the media.

Trump, Hegseth and Sinking Ships

source: A Righting Original

By Randall Rothenberg: There are two sinking ships right now: The kind that Trump and his incompetent lickspittle of a Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, are bombing, probably illegally; and the administration itself, led by an apparently ill and certainly befuddled autocrat, from which former loyalists are now distancing themselves.

Venezuela and the World Will Be Far Better Off with the Maduro Regime Gone

source: NY Post

Exactly what Team Trump intends to do with (or to) Venezuela is far from clear, but it clearly wants the Maduro regime gone ASAP, and with excellent reason.

Thomas Jefferson Could Have Predicted Massive Somali Minnesota Fraud Schemes

source: Daily Signal

It should be no surprise that in concentrated Somali communities, like the ones that exist in Minnesota, similar scams have taken place. Thomas Jefferson warned in “Notes on the State of Virginia” about taking in too many people from “absolute monarchies” who will bring with them “the principles of the governments they leave imbibed in their early youth.”
