And as always, it’s kids who are most victimized by this departure from reality.
Trump’s Putin Praise Is Morally Bankrupt
source: NY Post
Rich Lowry: On the cusp of Putin’s act of naked aggression against the sovereign country of Ukraine, the most important Republican in the country praised the Russian autocrat for his “genius.”…It would have been a shoddy performance from a backbench congressman or a commentator, but Trump is the former leader of the free world.
Biden Helps Make Russia Great Again

Thanks to the Biden administration’s one-two punch of weakness and incompetence, Ukraine is now Putin’s to do with what he wants. He’s been waiting for a weakling like Biden to occupy the White House and he has not let the opportunity pass him by.
Of Course Putin Invaded Ukraine Under Biden’s Watch
source: Townhall
Biden promised sanctions -- an only arguably effective tool, at best, and which largely amounts to performative preening so that State Department lackeys and NGO staffers can sleep better at night. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, deeply unpopular on the home front, penned a condemnatory Wall Street Journal op-ed. Yawn.
Biden Receives Failing Grades on Ukraine and Russia Across Multiple Polls
source: Washington Examiner
None of this is surprising. Biden’s weakness and unwillingness to take a hard stand against Russia clearly played a role in Russia’s decision to move in.

The Ruling Class Is a Far Greater Threat to Americans Than Russia Is
source: The Federalist
From Western Europe to West L.A., we know we’re governed by leaders in business, entertainment, and politics who hold scorn for our country, its history, its heroes, its people, and their religion. They can freeze truckers’ bank accounts and mask children as young as three. They can force vaccinations, close churches, arrest priests, prosecute bakers, empty prisons, defund police, and sometimes even win votes.
Dem Presidents Caused the Crisis in Ukraine

When it comes to the chaos we’re seeing in Ukraine today, Democrats, especially presidents Clinton, Obama, and Biden, deserve the lion’s share of the blame.
For This War, We Need a Reagan or Trump-Like Leader
source: Conservative View from NH
To the Administration, this conflict is a welcome distraction, and the Administration is hoping this story will stop the slide in the polls. How sad that the performance of the Biden Team has been so poor that they are looking at a war halfway around the world to bail them out. It will not work as they are already showing by their implementation of sanctions that they are overmatched.
Biden’s Appeasement of Putin Was Years in the Making

Surely, even Trump's most passionate antagonists must be slightly curious as to why Putin didn't move on eastern Ukraine after successfully installing the orange man as an alleged infiltrator in the White House. What better time could there have been for an invasion or annexation?
Don’t Give Up Your Guns (or Nukes) Is the Lesson from Ukraine

It may be too late for Ukraine -- let's make sure it's not too late for us.
Sanctions Are Not Enough
source: Washington Free Beacon
America needs more of everything—more troops, more tanks, more planes, more ships, more drones, more UAVs and USVs, more ABM systems, more chips, and more connectivity. And we need it soon. Ronald Reagan grabbed the Kremlin's attention with his defense budgets. Biden has not. He needs to mimic Reagan, not Barack Obama, if he wants to stop his presidency from sliding entirely into chaos.
Did We Provoke Putin’s War in Ukraine?
source: Pat Buchanan
When Russia’s Vladimir Putin demanded that the U.S. rule out Ukraine as a future member of the NATO alliance, the U.S. wouldn’t comply…Unable to get a satisfactory answer to his demand, Putin invaded and settled the issue. Neither Ukraine nor Georgia will become members of NATO. To prevent that, Russia will go to war, as Russia earlier this week.

Newsmax TV Has Correspondents Reporting from Ukraine; Company CEO Supports Biden’s Efforts
By Howard Polskin, February 25, 2022
Newsmax TV has gone to war.
Since early February, the conservative news organization has had two television correspondents stationed in Ukraine tracking the escalating tensions and full-scale invasion. Australian Sarah Williamson joined Newsmax only in December and was quickly assigned to the European war zone. Luckily, she had experience because she covered the Palestinian-Israeli conflict for Israel’s i24 News for four years. Veteran war correspondent Chuck Holton, who is essentially the Richard Engel of Newsmax, bolsters Newsmax’s reporting from the beleaguered European country. Holton is described by Newsmax’s chief content officer Elliot Jacobson as the company’s conflict zone correspondent. Most recently, he was reporting from Panama about migrants moving north toward the U.S. border.
Both of them are stationed in the Kyiv area (exact whereabouts are not disclosed for security reasons). They each contribute roughly a dozen reports a day from the capital, its outskirts, the eastern front and even down south to Crimea. Each correspondent works with a small production crew which includes a producer and translator.
While Newsmax’s commitment to boots on the ground in a foreign conflict in no way compares with CNN’s reporting live from Bagdad at the outbreak of the Gulf War in 1991, which galvanized the world and cemented its reputation as a premier global news brand, it nonetheless represents a major step forward for an upstart news brand that occasionally punches above its weight.
“We’re getting some unique perspectives,” says Jacobson of their work. “We’re talking to people on the ground. We have interviewed Ukrainian officials. We’re not just reporting without any interaction with the locals.”
Newsmax remains undecided how long it will keep Williamson and Holton in Ukraine. “Their safety is paramount,” says Jacobson. “We monitor it carefully.”
Chris Ruddy, Newsmax CEO, issued this statement when contacted by TheRighting about his company’s coverage: “Newsmax believes Russia has made a major transgression and this should be condemned strongly by all people. I think we are seeing for conservatives a clarity moment where Fox News’ main host is stating categorically he is siding with Putin and Russia in support of the invasion. Newsmax supports President Biden‘s efforts to stop this invasion, if anything we think he is not being strong enough. We believe there is a bipartisan consensus in opposition to this dangerous aggression.”
In addition to foreign correspondents Alex Salvi in Rome, and Daniel Cohen in Jerusalem, Newsmax also has bureaus with reporting from London, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo and Tapei.
