TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The Narcissist’s Name Game: Donald Trump is on a rampage to plaster his name on every government program and building he can.  The Kennedy Center represents the latest  desecration of a treasured national institution.  JFK’s niece Maria Shriver expresses her horror in this post. What next? Trump-JFK Airport? AmTrump?...In stark contrast, Barack Obama has released his annual list of his favorite movies, books and music of the past year.  The list includes Oscar-bait  films  “Jay Kelly” and “Train Dreams,” as well as notable tomes  “Mark Twain,” by Ron Chernow, and “1929,” by Andrew Ross Sorkin...Speaking of lists, Mediaite caused quite a stir  this week with its ranking of the 75 most influential people in news media for 2025. I won’t spoil the fun by revealing who is No. 1, but here’s a teaser:  Megyn Kelly placed third. Yours truly didn't crack the Top 75. Maybe in 2026....The Donald’s speed freak 18-minute prime time performance  Wednesday night made it easy to miss the torrent of lies, insults and petty grievances. Here’s a full transcript of what he said and it ain’t pretty....Weekend Watch: Amazon Prime’s Merchants of Joy is the perfect Christmas documentary. It puts the cutthroat business of selling Christmas trees on the mean streets of New York City under a revealing microscope. Worth noting: I’m struggling to finish the acclaimed Ken Burns six-part, 12-hour documentary “The American Revolution.”  I’m not even halfway through it but I'm not giving up...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Trump’s Gift to America Is a Year of U.S. Global Leadership and Peacemaking

Trump’s peace-through-strength approach has reversed Biden-era weakness, restoring deterrence, ending conflicts, and reasserting American leadership at home and abroad.

The Snakes Within the Trump Administration

source: Washington Times

At many of President Trump’s 2016 rallies, he warned of the dangers of “The Snake.” Eleven months into his second term, Mr. Trump would be wise to heed his own warning.

What Was Susie Wiles Thinking Cooperating with Vanity Fair Profile?

source: Wall Street Journal

By Peggy Noonan: The accompanying photo portraits are mostly hideous, in Ms. Wiles’s case also ill-mannered and unkind. She is the first woman to be a White House chief of staff, a lady of a certain age and accomplishment who swims in the highest of high seas. She is presented as bug-eyed and insane

NYT’s Bret Stephens Is a Classless Boob Who Needs to Learn Manners

source: The Federalist

By Eddie Scarry: “We are led,” wrote NY Times columnist Stephens on Tuesday, “by the most loathsome human being ever to occupy the White House.” I’m so glad he was able to get that radiant bit of originality off his chest. God knows another content creator at the New York Times publicly declaring his antipathy for the president is exactly what the world needs.

Why do so many modern liberal women speak with open hostility toward Christianity while extending sympathy, or at least silence, toward Islam?

DEI Is Dragging Down Quarterbacks Across the NFL

source: Blaze Media

You’ve heard of DEI in the workforce, but DEI in the NFL isn’t all that different. BlazeTV host Jason Whitlock determines it’s been doing far more damage than good. In 2018, 19 quarterbacks averaged more than 250 passing yards per game. Now, in 2025, there are only five quarterbacks who average more than 250 passing yards per game.

Will Amtrak Let the American Freedom Train Roll?

source: The Federalist

During America’s bicentennial, seven million Americans visited John Wayne’s ‘Freedom Train’ exhibit to celebrate America — but for America’s 250th, legal hurdles threaten to stop the Freedom Train in its tracks.

LGBTQ Activist with Deep Ties to NJ Dems Charged with Allegedly Assaulting Foster Child

Another disturbing scandal is rocking the Democrat political ecosystem in NJ, this time involving one of the state’s most prominent LGBTQ activists with close ties to top Dem officials. Christian Fuscarino, 35, the longtime executive director of Garden State Equality, New Jersey’s largest and most influential LGBTQ advocacy organization, has been criminally charged.

Turns Out That Nobody Actually Wanted Electric Vehicles

source: SteveGruber.com

Ford just hit the brakes on its big electric vehicle ambitions, proving once again that even billions in subsidies and woke mandates can’t make Americans want EVs. Mountains of government cash didn’t lure buyers. Instead, Ford will be using the Marshall megasite to concentrate on residential batteries instead of electric- vehicle batteries.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings? Why is grandpa angry? That’s the hilarious tweet Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson posted during Donald Trump’s prime-time bitch-fest last night.  The best thing that can be said about the unhinged POTUS rant was that it lasted only 18 minutes. I was struck by his angry tone and rapid-fire delivery. It was nearly impossible to fully absorb the content. I actually wondered during his presentation if he was medicated. As Rick Wilson joked (I think) in another tweet : “You know, teleprompters have a speed setting. This one is clearly on ‘coke binge.’” Worth noting: In the speech, Trump announced a new government service designed to sell drugs to consumers from Pfizer at discounted prices.  It’s called – naturally – TrumpRx. Check out the weird home page that features The Donald  sitting in what appears to be an AI-created Oval Office…Yesterday, Amazon  dropped the trailer for its feature-length doc “Melania.” It touts an inside look at the reclusive First Lady during the 20 days leading up to the Trump 2.0 inauguration. “Melania” debuts in movie theaters January 30.  Shortly after the documentary’s theatrical release, couch potatoes can catch the film on Amazon Prime Video...TPUSA’s four day AmericaFest 2025 kicks off today in Phoenix.  It features the cream of right-wing royalty including Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly and Erika Kirk...That was quick! After less than a year on the job, Dan Bongino is bolting from his #2 position at the FBI and is likely to return to the much more lucrative life of a conspiracy-slinging right-wing podcaster...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Is Brown U Protecting a Suspect in the Campus Shooting?

source: PJ Media

Internet sleuths have noticed that Brown University quietly pulled down webpages connected to student assistant Mustapha Kharbouch, leaving many to wonder if there's a connection between their actions and the investigation. Archived versions of those pages described Kharbouch as a queer Palestinian activist.

he Ivy League school is coming under heavy fire for apparently scrubbing its webpage of student assistant Mustapha Kharbouch, whom some claim has the same build and gait as the person of interest for whom police have been searching. Why the silence? Woke institutions protecting their own while conservatives get targeted?

After One Year, Trump Reverses Biden Decline

source: Townhall

A little over one year ago, Washington’s permanent class laughed at the idea that President Trump could return to office and impose order on a system built to resist him. They predicted chaos. They warned of collapse. What they got instead was something far more threatening to their power: results.
