Greetings! This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” delivered an epic takedown of SecDef Pete “Hairgel” Hegseth and his conflicting accounts of bombing boats suspected of running drugs. Here’s the hilarious video. Hegseth has become a  national punchline…Earlier today, Donald Trump dropped an unhinged Truth Social post attacking Marjorie Taylor Greene, CBS News, and Lesley Stahl for the veteran journalist’s “60 Minutes” interview last night with the soon-to-retire Georgia congresswoman. The Donald called Stahl “washed up,” dubbed  Greene  “traitor” and “dumb,” and boasted that he was the nation’s  “favorite president.” It was yet another window into a dark and disturbed mind....The Federalist suggests three more countries that should be added to Trump’s travel ban list: India, Mexico and China.  It’s “obvious that we’re not importing ‘top-tier talent’ from these countries that are either cartel-controlled, hostile to the U.S., or third-world,” opines The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman.  “There is no compelling benefit to mass migration from any of these countries (legal or illegal), and in many cases, there are clear downsides”...The country’s most right-wing watering hole? It’s gotta be Eagle Idaho’s Old State Saloon.  The bar promises that anyone who assists ICE in outing an illegal alien that results in deportation gets free beer for a month. (Bet it’s not Bud Light.) However, Breitbart reports that Old State owner Mark Fitzpatrick is receiving death threats over the free beer offer. Worth noting: the saloon seems to have male identity issues. Its theme nights include Manly American Mondays (a free beer to all American citizen men who support ICE) and Whistleblower Wednesdays (straight  couples get a 10% discount)....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Greetings! Looks like Pete “Hairgel” Hegseth picked a bad year to quit drinking. How employable will he be when he’s bounced from the Pentagon? A show on OAN seems about the best he can expect...The American Conservative has an editorial explaining why it declined the invitation to be part of Hegseth's Pentagon press pool under new draconian rules.  Here’s the key line: “We are not in the stenography business”...What’s the freest state in the country? It’s New Hampshire, according to the Canada-based Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom of North America index.  South Dakota and Florida rank just below the “Live Free or Die” state. New York comes in last on the Fraser list. The rankings are based on government spending, taxes, among other factors. WND has the details.... Democrats won the 43-day federal government shutdown.  So says the Wall Street Journal’s Neera Tanden. “Democrats couldn’t have planned for the horrific way Mr. Trump responded by inflicting as much pain as possible on the American people,” she opines...Weekend Watch: For all you eggheads and intellectual wannabees, Netflix has dropped the documentary The New Yorker at 100. I’m not sure how a look back at the magazine’s 100-year-history can be stuffed into 96-minutes.
