Traffic to Newsmax Soars 104% in September

October 29,  2021, New York, NY – For the fourth consecutive month, Newsmax generated significant year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors, while most conservative websites continued to see audience declines.  Furthermore, Newsmax experienced a 104% YOY gain, its third largest of the year according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of September 2021 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.  Newsmax drew 5,729,000 unique visitors in September 2021, compared to 2,808,000 from September 2020.  

Traffic to DonaldJTrump.com continued its calamitous decline falling 95% from September 2020 (11,765,000 unique visitors) to September 2021 (621,000 unique visitors).  

Foxnews.com remained the highest-ranked conservative website in TheRighting’s survey with 96,116,000 unique visitors in September.  However, it wasn’t enough to halt its tenth straight month of audience declines (-8%).

The three mainstream news brands TheRighting analyzes regularly each month also suffered YOY audience declines.  Unique visitors dropped at  Washingtonpost.com (-20%), The New York Times brand (-12%) and CNN.com (-6%). 

Parler Talk

For the fourth straight month, traffic to Parler dropped as the site lost more than a million YOY unique visitors.  The number of unique visitors for three conservative-friendly social media sites for September 2021 are as follows:

·      Rumble (8,289,000; +214% vs year ago) 

·      Mewe (1,412,000; +57% vs year ago) 

·      Parler (746,000; -58% vs year ago)

Each month, TheRighting examines Comscore data on dozens of prominent conservative websites that post original content.  TheRighting ranks the top 20 conservative websites on the basis of unique visitors and also provides data on whether unique visitors have increased or decreased year over year.
