“Signs” of the Times: Images from the No Kings Rallies

Donald Trump as King

Millions of Americans took to the streets in the No Kings demonstrations that stretched across the country on Saturday, June 14.  Organizers estimate that there were more than 2,000 rallies and protest demonstrations with approximately five million people participating.  Several readers of TheRighting sent in images from rallies they attended and here are just a few of the several I received.

No Kings rally in St. Paul Minnesota

Catherine Chayka, our correspondent in Minnesota, captured an image of a large demonstration in St. Paul.  “Minnesota state police were asking the public to stay away from the No Kings events ‘out of an abundance of caution’ due to the assassination of one (state senator) and attempted assassination of a second Democratic state legislator early (Saturday morning),” Chayka reports. “While that did result in the cancellation of some events around the state, that didn’t stop us at the state Capital.”

No Kings rally in Canandaigua, NY

Arthur Ahrens estimates that up to 2,500 protestors lined a highway in Canandaigua, NY, about 30 miles south of Rochester.  He writes that it was his fourth protest of the year and they are “definitely growing.” He also observed more young people among the protestors.  “It was surprising and gratifying, and augurs well for the future,” he concluded.  (Photo by Arthur Ahrens)
