The NY Post slams Donald Trump for considering allowing Iran to toll ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. “President Donald Trump couldn’t send any worse signal of weakness to the rest of the world, both our allies and our enemies,” the editors write in a scathing opinion piece.  “Even President Barack Obama and his idiots never tried a giveaway on this scale”...Gotta love today’s Wall Street Journal editorial. The WSJ editors point out that a quarter of the United States men’s World Cup soccer team was born outside the country. Furthermore, the article notes that many of the players have diverse backgrounds such as striker Ricardo Pepi, whose parents who immigrated from Mexico. The article concludes with the following observation: “America’s World Cup men’s team shows again how bringing in foreign talent can be a win for the individuals and for the country”...Dept. of BS: More than 40,000 people died after receiving the Covid-19 vaccination. So claims Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) in an essay on X that was rejected by several high-profile news outlets including Fox News. (Daily Caller)....Just in time for July 4th:  For flag-waving theatergoers, the new biopic Young Washington may draw audiences on both sides of the aisle looking for an easy-to-swallow dose of U.S. history and cinematic adventure. The movie focuses on the  life of a young George Washington prior to becoming the heroic Revolutionary War general and the nation’s first president. The rightward entertainment outlet Hollywood in Toto raves about the film (natch). It’s from Angel Studios, the Utah-based media company that backs Christian-themed movies. “Young Washington” opens July 3....Adios: Tucker Carlson announced that he’ll no longer support the Republican party. Greetings! Regime Change, the year’s most talked about nonfiction book, drops today. Within its pages, NY Times scribes Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan reveal frightening fly-on-the-wall scenes (or microphone in the Situation Room) from the tumultuous first year of Trump 2.0. Both the NY Times and The New Yorker grace “Regime Change” with rave reviews. I watched Haberman and Swan on MS NOW last night and found their revelations about the insane workings of The Donald’s White House more frightening than my own already nightmarish imaginings. Worth noting: Trump often refers to Haberman as “Maggot.” Classy (not)....More book news: Exactly who covered up Joe Biden’s cognitive decline? That answer may be forthcoming in a new book from Lindy Li, a veteran Democratic fundraiser, according to Fox News.  Titled  Unburdened, Li’s tell-all has a September 15 pub date, which is the same month that Biden’s White House memoir is scheduled for release. My guess is neither book will be welcomed by Dems just weeks before midterm elections.
