Greetings! Minnesota Governor Tim Walz wasn’t on my betting  card in the Veep sweepstakes.   I’m taking a 24 hour pause to digest Kamala’s surprise running mate choice.…A rare issue both  Republicans and Democrats can agree on: Robert Kennedy Jr. is way weird.  Just check out his dead bear in Central Park story (NY Post)…“How did a bunch of rich dudes who run corporate America become the tools of left-wing radicals?” That’s the promo copy for the nonfiction book from Fox Business News’s Charles Gasparino who just dropped Go Woke, Go Broke. Gasparino explores what he calls  “the progressive madness that has infected and corrupted the world’s biggest corporations”…Speaking of books, the NY Times’ Michelle Goldberg revealed that GOP VP hopeful and Cat-Lady-Hater JD Vance blurbed a nonfiction book by right wing activist and conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec.  The book, Unhumans, explores the history of communist revolutions with suggestions on how to crush them.  Vance’s blurb said in part: “In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through H.R., college campuses and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people.” Seems like Vance becomes more of a liability to Trump every day…It’s never too early to think about holiday shopping: Proud Patriots is hawking Donald Trump “keep fighting” bobbleheads featuring the bloodied ex-POTUS raising his fist in defiance “including spring at the wrist.”  Price: a head-spinning just a shade under $50 if you include the hefty shipping fee…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Greetings! I won’t predict who Kamala Harris will pick as her running mate. Still, Josh Shapiro, the popular governor of crucial swing state Pennsylvania remains my top choice. My preference for Shapiro is based on a simple, shallow reason: Shapiro projects vitality and youth, qualities missing from the Oval Office for the past eight years. Arizona Governor Mark Kelly is good, especially on immigration, but his baldness – sorry bald dudes – just doesn’t work for me. The Democratic ticket is facing off against an older, beefier and less energetic Donald Trump. In stark contrast, a Harris-Shapiro ticket will put The Donald on the defensive as an geriatric rerun gasbag of a candidate…Big story of last weekend: Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff had an affair with the nanny of his daughter and reportedly got her pregnant according to the Daily Mail.  Unfortunately, that lowers the moral high ground on which Kamala has been standing lately. Wonder if Trump sees this as a line of attack or if Emhoff’s dalliance hits too close to home. The story has caught the attention of the right with FrontPage suggesting that the nanny had Emhoff’s love child…PJ Media’s Matt Margolis boasts that he know the one question Trump should ask that would effectively end Kamala’s campaign.
