TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! CNN is taking incoming fire for “pointing the finger at Trump” for the fatal DC air crash, according to RedState…The NY Post put a heavy  hammer to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s shoddy testimony at yesterday’s Senate confirmation hearings.  In an opinion piece in the Rupert Murdoch-owned outlet, RFK Jr. was labeled a “charlatan” who lied his way through the hearing.  The NY Post op-ed took a shot too at the entire Kennedy clan. “As you might expect of any Kennedy,” wrote Isaac Schorr, “his answers were full of obfuscations, half-truths, and outright lies”…Vile right wing conspiracy theorist and Infowars honcho Alex Jones stated that’s he’s been invited to the White House next week, presumably for a White House press briefing.  That would be a bridge too far, even for the Trump administration. (Infowars)…Melania’s official White House portrait continues to take flak.  Yesterday, I reported on two right wing outlets that trashed the black & white photo.  Now, fashion bible Vogue has weighed in with a double dose of snark. “The choice to wear a tuxedo—as opposed to a blazer or blouse—made Trump look more like a freelance magician than a public servant,” sniffed Vogue’s Hannah Jackson. “It’s perhaps unsurprising that a woman who lived in a gold-encrusted penthouse, whose fame is so intertwined with a reality-television empire, would refuse to abandon theatrics—even when faced with 248 years of tradition.”  Don’t expect to see FLOTUS gracing Vogue’s cover anytime soon…According to TheRighting’s exclusive research, over the last four  years, 21 major news sites, both leaning left and right, saw serious audience declines in the past four years. Lousy news for the news biz. Here’s the full report…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Trump Is Not a Fascist

By Ardie Geldman: I am not a fan of Donald Trump. But Donald Trump is not a racist, he is not an antisemite and he is definitely not a fascist.

Anti-Trump General Gets His Comeuppance

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has revoked the security clearance and detail of rabid anti-Trump, woke former Gen. Mark Milley—and is investigating whether he can have him demoted.

Elon Musk “Is Untouchable Right Now”

source: The Dispatch

Barely 10 days into Trump’s second term, Musk appears largely immune from the vicious, intramural power struggles over White House policy that are all too common among presidential allies. That’s because Musk—with his bottomless bank account and media megaphone—currently occupies a position of near-unparalleled access and even fear that is eclipsed by few others in Trump’s orbit.

Good Lord, Tim Walz Is Insane

source: Townhall

Walz is incoherent in an unstable way – with half thoughts and false starts, seemingly getting distracted by whatever is happening between his own ears. If he were your Uber driver you’d assume he was in the middle of an argument through a Bluetooth ear piece and demand to be let out of the car once you realized that was just him talking to you.

source: American Greatness

After years of U.S. appeasement, Mexico exploits open borders, drug trade, and remittances—it's time for America to enforce real consequences and reclaim control.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Caroline Kennedy took direct aim at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.  The daughter of John F. Kennedy labeled her cousin a “predator”  and urged the Senate to kill his nomination. In addition, cousin Caroline, who has served as ambassador to Japan and Australia, stated that RFK Jr.  is “addicted to power and attention.”  I fear that Caroline Kennedy’s powerful statement ultimately won’t have the weight in the bizarro MAGA-world.  Still, I applaud her speaking truth to power.  She would fit right in her dad’s1957 Pulitzer-prize-winning book Profiles in Courage that focused on eight senators who stood up for  their beliefs, regardless of the consequences. If there’s a heaven, her father, mother and brother are smiling down on her today.…Toni Williams of the Victory Girls blog is no fan of the just-unveiled black-and-white photo portrait of the First Lady.  Williams  points out that it makes FLOTUS look too powerful.  “This photograph screams Girl Boss!” wrote Williams.  The Victory Girls author is also critical of the soft-focus Washington Monument background looming over Melania’s shoulder.  “Does anyone want to talk about the giant phallic symbol?” asks Wsilliams. “Maybe Melania is sending a don’t EFF with me message.”   America Thinker also threw shade on the photo for placing Melania in “a toxic masculinity posture”…Who saw all of Karoline Leavitt’s White House debut press briefing yesterday?  While Trump’s newly minted press secretary displayed  a glib  confidence, her performance had a creepy cult-like vibe that was amplified  by her prominently displayed shiny cross. Dana Milbank of the Washington Post wrote that the cross was of “a size commonly associated with warding off vampires”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Trump’s Federal Grant Freeze Is Great News for America’s Taxpayers

source: NY Post

Despite the howls of outrage and already-launched lawsuits from the left, Team Trump’s pause on federal spending on most grants, loans and more is a wise, perhaps necessary, move to ensure Americans’ tax dollars are well spent and to keep up the battle against Bidenflation.

Is Donald Trump Cool?

source: Fox News

By Mark Halperin: Trump can weave together some of his greatest strengths: the bulwark of his MAGA fan base, his gifts as history’s greatest presidential television producer, and his profound desire to depart the office, whenever that might be, as one of the POTUS GOATS. So really, who needs to be cool?

Trump’s J6 Pardons Signal the End of the War on Wrongthink

source: The Federalist

The Capitol riot fueled the war on wrongthink. Clemency for Capitol rioters should represent the start of the end of that war.

Trump Can Restore Sanity to California’s Environmental Policies

source: American Greatness

Trump’s executive order highlights how CEQA’s red tape fuels California wildfires, pushing for reforms to restore balance and prioritize safety over bureaucracy.

Trump’s DEI Order Is Good for Blacks and America

source: Townhall

Blacks now constitute 14.4% of the American population. Other data reported by Pew say that Blacks constitute 18.6% of the federal workforce. So, if anything, Blacks should be concerned about disproportionate dependency on federal government employment rather than lack of equity.

Leftists’ Crocodile Tears Over Trump Are Falling Flat

source: Daily Signal

There is no solidarity or resistance movement against Trump’s “mean tweets” this time around. Too many Americans have seen their loved ones murdered by gang members or poisoned by fentanyl dealers to whistle a tune given to them by leftist media and celebrities past a graveyard far too close for comfort.

The Press Has Not Learned the Lessons of Trump 1.0

source: The American Conservative

The second Trump administration finds the news media’s appetite for adversarial inaccuracy undimmed.
