TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Tonight, Barack Obama appears as a guest on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on MAGA-friendly CBS. I’m hoping for a fiery interview filled with jokes and cutting criticism of the Trump regime.  Colbert’s last show is slated Thursday, May 21, and the late-night host has made it clear he wants to exit in a blaze of humorous free speech fury... Does Kamala Harris have a “fake Black woman accent?” The National’s Review’s  editor-in-chief Rich Lowry thinks so.  On Megyn Kelly’s podcast, this is what Lowry said about Kamala’s recent address at The Root’s “Rising Power” summit: “She is a Black woman who does a fake Black woman accent. If you do fake accents, almost by definition, you’re a bad politician”...The Philadelphia Museum of Art is in the right-wing crosshairs.  The Washington Free Beacon takes aim at the museum’s current exhibit tied to the nation’s 250th birthday, because in its view, there is too much focus on “guilt mongering” especially as it relates to the country’s history of slavery and broken treaties with indigenous people.  “Maybe the curators figure any country that elected Donald Trump president must be irredeemable,” wrote reporter Ira Stoll. “(T)hey hate the president so much that they hate the country that elected him”... Because he is term-limited, Ron DeSantis leaves office in January.  Insiders say the GOP governor of Florida has his eyes on one of three top posts in The Donald’s administration: Attorney General of the United States, Secretary of Defense (sorry Pete), or a  seat on the Supreme Court, reports  Townhall...More Trump bashing from the right today: The Wall Street Journal concedes that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz insulted Trump, but states that’s no reason for Trump to pull U.S. troops from the country and undermine NATO.  The WSJ headline nails it: “How to Make Vladimir Putin’s Year”...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Dems Have an Image Problem Yet They’re Lining Up to Campaign for Nazi-Tatted Lefty Candidate Platner

source: NY Post

Now that Maine Gov. Janet Mills has pulled out of her Senate campaign, citing money problems, Democratic grandees are lining up to campaign for their anointed candidate, the ersatz Joe Six-Pack Graham Platner, who has an actual Nazi tattoo on his chest — or did for 18 years until he disguised it to campaign.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson Is a Dumber, More Unlikeable Version of Commie Mamdani

Seattle used to be a place where the arts were bigger than Antifa, food culture was bigger than fentanyl, and where hardworking citizens were prized above homeless addicts. With every utterance she makes, however, the humorless, public school teacher–like scold telegraphs her communist priorities for what once was a great American city.

Activist judges are a major problem for the rule of law in this country. The latest comes from the U.S. Magistrate judge, Zia M. Time for Jerome Powell to Go Home

Powell has been emboldened and knighted by the media because of his public spats with Trump. He says he wants to be independent of politics, but no one has played their political cards against Trump more expertly than Powell. His announcement to stay on the board can only be explained as political retaliation against Trump.

Marriage Among Liberals Is Waning

source: Washington Stand

As the U.S. birth rate continues to plummet to record lows, data shows that a significant percentage of liberals are deprioritizing the importance of marriage and having children, especially among teens. Among conservatives, however, the phenomenon does not appear to be occurring.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Village(s) People: Last Friday, Donald Trump appeared at The Villages, the huge MAGA-friendly Florida retirement community near Orlando.  The  Washington Post described his address as “profane.”  In my opinion, the speech was noteworthy because it revealed new details about his  personal life, including his relationship with the First Lady. For instance, he gave his impression of a transgender weightlifter, noting  that Melania pleaded with him not to do it because she viewed it as “unpresidential.” He also revealed  that she  dislikes it when he dances to the Village People’s “YMCA,” which she calls the “gay national anthem.” I’m with the First Lady on both counts. Also in the address, the Portly POTUS admitted that he doesn’t wear a bulletproof vest despite multiple attempts on his life. “I don’t know if I can handle looking 20 pounds heavier,” he confessed which is probably the most honest thing he’s said in weeks...Last Thursday night, CNN’s MAGA apologist Scott Jennings told 23-year-old rising progressive podcaster Adam Mockler to “get your hands out of my fucking face,” according to multiple reports.  The obnoxious GOP quote chimp is also a featured speaker on a week-long late November cruise into  the “Gulf of America” sponsored by the  ultra-right media conglomerate Salem Media...Conflicting opinions abound regarding Gavin Newsom’s appearance on Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher.  To me, the Golden State Gov. came off  as affable, entertaining and  savvy, calmly batting back Bill Maher’s hardball questions. (Newsom was much more effective on the show than two other fellow Democratic governors and likely rivals for White House: Kentucky’s  Andy Beshear and Pennsylvania's Josh Shapiro). The California Post (sister pub of the NY Post) opined that Maher conducted a “blistering” interview. Trump thought otherwise and described Maher as “eaten up” by Newsom... If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
