TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! And a white-knuckle welcome to Power Plant Day and Bridge Day. That’s what the pouting POTUS has dubbed today because he’s threatening to destroy key Iranian infrastructure if the country’s leaders don’t open up the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. tonight...Last night on Truth Social, Trump endorsed California GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton...Also, The Donald  reposted a 17-second video of a scene from Minnesota’s gigantic Mall of America crowded with women dressed in hijabs. “This literally is the ‘Mall of America,’” wrote the America-first author of the American AF X account. “85% of these people are on welfare, btw,” he added without citing his source.  By reposting, Trump is actually endorsing this racist point of view. Worth mentioning: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that the video Trump reposted was from 2019 and showed the Eid celebration, one of the most important festivities in Islam...Dept. of New Phrases: Kink-shaming.  I came across this phrase reading about Bryon Noem’s apparent cross-dressing, big breast fetish.  It appears it’s a big no-no to make fun of someone’s fetishes or kinks. The Psychology Today website explains why...Is the Strait of Hormuz closed forever? That provocative question is at the heart of a new podcast hosted on The Free Press featuring shipping expert Sal Mercogliano...London Calling: For the first time, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is coming to London reflecting a growing turn to the right in the UK. The conference will be held July 16-18. No speakers have been announced yet....Colorado is the most authoritarian state in the country. So claims the Washington Examiner. I still love the Aspen region...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Trump Is a Real Commander-in-Chief

President Trump has gotten out the message that he is not fooling around. He takes his role as commander-in-chief with deadly seriousness. He is not fooling around. In fact, that is one of a president’s most important responsibilities.

Trump Acts Like Trump and the Left Loses Its Mind

source: SteveGruber.com

On Sunday, Trump fired off a social media post that included a not-so-subtle message to Iran – and, shocker, a little colorful language including the “F” word. The reaction from the usual crowd on the Left? Not exactly waving the stars and stripes or calling out Iran. Nope. In their world, the real problem isn’t Iran, China, or North Korea – it’s President Donald J. Trump.

Iran’s Greatest Ally Is the Left

The Left wants the American people to feel like we're accomplishing nothing, because that's when the public starts demanding an end to hostilities.

"Project Hail Mary" should inspire us to invest in a different kind of masculine Christian storytelling that challenges the conventions of the female-driven faith-based market.

Can Hollywood Heavy Judd Apatow Come Back from Trump Derangement Syndrome?

source: Hollywood in Toto

In recent years, he’s used awards show stages and press interviews to savage President Donald Trump while watching his comedy output droop. He wouldn’t be the first comedian to be dethroned by Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just ask Rosie O’Donnell, Kathy Griffin and Jimmy Kimmel.

The Left Is Baffled — But Still Repulsed — by the White Working Class

Democrats can rebrand candidates, but they cannot hide a long record of condescension toward the very working-class voters they now need to win back.

Trump Can Make America Optimistic Again

source: Wall Street Journal

There is ample cause for optimism about America. Last week the Journal reported that more middle-class Americans are moving toward the upper middle class. We have sent astronauts to the moon for the first time in more than half a century. In a daring exploit, we recovered a lost pilot behind enemy lines. We are the global leader in artificial intelligence.

Assisted Suicide Is a Threat to Freedom

source: Wall Street Journal

A young woman subject to limited alternatives asked for suicide—and rather than being given help to live freely, she was granted help to die. Noelia Castillo Ramos’s death wasn’t an exercise of freedom but a desperate response to its erosion. A truly free society doesn’t leave citizens in a predicament where death is considered their best option.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Dropping F-bombs on Iran: In a Truth Social post yesterday, the potty-mouthed POTUS ranted, “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards or you’ll be living in hell.” What puzzles me is why he dropped the “g” while using the “F” word as an adjective. Did he think that it made him sound tough?...Former “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Kroft just did Bill O’Reilly a solid, appearing as a guest on the scandal-scarred ex-Fox News star’s new weekly podcast, “We’ll Do It Live.”  At the 3:44 mark in the program, Kroft eviscerated “60 Minutes,” where he worked for 28 years, calling it “a toxic work environment.”  That headline-grabbing assessment resulted in articles in the NY Post and other outlets, giving free promo to O’Reilly’s fledgling show. My question for Kroft: Why the hell do a podcast hosted by Bill O’Reilly who was dropped by Fox after multiple charges of sexual harassment? It helps legitimize him....Melania writes! Fox News has an op-ed with the  First Lady’s byline extolling the benefits of AI to deliver  a “world-class education” to the nation’s children... Over the weekend, the NY Times Book Review published a list of the 100 best books of the 21stcentury. There was only one book in that list that I’ve read – Philip Roth’s excellent 2004 novel The Plot Against America, ranked #65.  I'm a fairly obsessive reader of both fiction and nonfiction books, so the NYT's picks really opened my eyes. I guess my tastes are more mainstream than I thought (not that there's anything wrong with it)....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Jennifer Newsom, “First Partner” of the United States?

source: FrontPage

Imagine if this brain-dead progressive ideologue becomes “First Partner” of the U.S. Her “partner” Gavin would do plenty of his damage to the country, but activist Jennifer would work tirelessly to push woke gender policies and educational programs in schools that would marginalize and demonize boys even more than our feminized culture already has.
