Greetings! The year is just over a week old and it’s already off to a rocky start: devastating fires in Los Angeles, the New Orleans terror attack and Trump’s expansionist ambitions.  Sheesh.  What’s going to happen after he takes office?...Farewell Jimmy Carter! WND  is not shedding a tear for him as it throws major shade on the late president accusing him for the unraveling of American culture....In a Truth Social post, Trump blamed the LA fires on California Governor Gavin Newsom, who he refers to in a derogatory term (of course)…LA Fire Chief Kristen Crowley is under fire from the right for being a lesbian and a presumably DEI hire.  The Pride website has a different point of view as evidenced by this headline:  “Amid Palisades Fire, LA’s First LGBTQ+ Fire Chief Is Proving Lesbians Get It Done”…The National Review has published a list of several must-read nonfiction books for 2025.  They include: Open Socrates: The Case for a Philosophical Life, Desire and Fate, and Called to Freedom: Retrieving Christian Liberty in an Age of License, Not exactly bedtime reading…In the immediate aftermath of the November 5 presidential election, more than 100 readers unsubscribed from TheRighting.  Unfortunately, the exodus continues to this day although not at the same pace.  In my latest article for The Columbia Journalism Review, I reveal the sad truth why readers fled…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Greetings! Trump posted an image late yesterday of a new map of the United States that encompasses the country formerly known as Canada...CNN did an outstanding job last night with live boots-on-the-ground coverage of the fires roaring through Los Angeles neighborhoods.  Didn’t see anyone on the right calling the news behemoth “fake news”…Americans United for Life  has just published its ranking of the country’s most pro-life states.  Here are just a few of the criteria to make the list from the organization’s website: laws on abortion, legal recognition of preborn children, assisted suicide and end-of-life patient care, and healthcare rights of conscience. Arkansas tops the list followed by Louisiana, Oklahoma and Mississippi.  Rounding out the bottom are Oregon, New Jersey and Vermont, which came in last…Ugh! That was my reaction when I read President Biden’s quote in USA Today that he thinks he could have defeated Trump if he stayed in the race.  It was exactly that kind of thinking that resulted in his ill-fated decision to run for president one last time. He and his handlers just don’t get it…Brad Pascale, the former Trump campaign 2016 digital and media director, has been appointed the Chief Strategy Officer for the Salem Media Group, a conservative media powerhouse that has hit some speed bumps recently.  This move might represent something of a comeback for the digital whiz who hit the skids in 2020 after a well publicized standoff with cops following a domestic dispute…WND has posted several images of Don Jr. and his buddies frolicking in Greenland…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
