I don’t know about you, but I’m panic-watching the news every night for about 30 minutes before resting my brain on mindless entertainment.  Not a good way to start the year… Breitbart has crowned ex-BLM activist Xaviaer DuRousseau as the latest right wing media sensation…Longtime libertarian John Stossel, a veteran of Fox Business News and ABC News, praises  Elon Musk for taking the hatchet to a growing list of federal agencies. (Townhall)…Daily Caller joins a growing list of right wing outlets dismissive of Donald Trump’s unhinged  proposal to remove two million Gaza residents and turn the devastated land into a U.S.-controlled Middle East “Riviera." “The very idea of illegally claiming ownership of Gaza is as farcical as it is insidious,” opines the Daily Caller’s John Loftus. “(I)t deserves to be shot down and ridiculed.” Amen to that…Natalie Winters, the White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, gave an interview to Outkick where the 23-year-old defended herself from critics who’ve  blasted her for fashion choices that seem more appropriate for a nightclubbing than the briefing room. The piece  is chock-a-block with photos of Winters, so fashionistas should judge for themselves…Adios United Nations? The Federalist lists five reasons why the U.S. should exit the UN…“The Megyn Kelly Show” is by far the fastest growing right wing podcast, according to TheRighting’s exclusive research.  The number of subscribers to her program on the Castbox platform surged 128% in Q4 2024 vs Q4 2023.  She ranks #7 on our top 20 list.  I predict that by mid-year Megyn’s podcast easily cracks the top 5…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Donald Trump’s MAGA-Fest Destiny knows no bounds: After setting his sights on Greenland, Panama and Canada, he has added Gaza to his unhinged imperialism designs.  So much for isolationism…If Trump floated the U.S. taking control of Gaza pre-November 5, would the election have gone the other way?  Trump support among some Arab-Americans would have evaporated. Indeed, plenty of voters might have cast a wary eye on the nation’s military being bogged down in another global hotspot ...The conservative sports website Outkick has emerged as an unlikely critic of Trump’s shocking suggestions about U.S. intervention in Gaza and plans to resettle its nearly two million residents.  “It would cut directly across his ‘America First’ mindset,” opines David Hookstead.  In addition, Outkick reports that UFC superstar Sean Strickland just says no to Trump’s off-the-wall idea…Add the Washington Examiner to the tiny list of rightward outlets wary of Trump’s Gaza gambit.  The Washington Examiner suggests that annexing Gaza would jeopardize American security interests…So much for folks from the left to the political middle deserting mainstream media outlets after Trump’s November victory. The New York Times released its Q4 financial results and disclosed that it added 350,000 digital subscribers in the quarter for a 4.4% year-over-year rise.
