TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Another Trump administration cast member bites the dust.  Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned yesterday, slinking out amidst a swirl of sordid allegations, including boozing on  the job and conducting an illicit relationship with a subordinate.  A White House spokesperson said Chavez-DeRemer was departing for a job in the private sector which is Trump-speak for lose our number...Dept. of Butt Kissing: This morning, in a loopy Truth Social post, The Donald once again reveals his pathological need for constant adulation.  In the wake of Tim Cook announcing he would soon step down as Apple CEO, Trump recalled  a conversation with him early in his first White House residency: “When I got the call I said, wow, it’s Tim Apple (Cook!) calling, how big is that? I was very impressed with myself to have the head of Apple calling to ‘kiss my ass’”...Just published: This Vast Enterprise, a new take on the epic Lewis and Clark 8,000-mile expedition to cross what is today’s continental United States.  The NY Times calls the nonfiction book a “page turner” in a rave review. I  can’t wait to read it.  “This Vast Enterprise” chronicles  one of my favorite stories about our nation’s history  and seems appropriate for the country’s 250th birthday...Subscriber Claudia Wheatley bristles with disdain at former EU ambassador Gordon Sondland’s description of getting Iran to back down is like breaking a horse.  “We don’t ‘break’ horses anymore, Gordie ol’ pal,” she wrote in a note to TheRighting regarding Sondland’s Fox News op-ed yesterday. “Now that they’re not essential to transportation and farming, we use kinder, gentler training methods. But leave it to a Trump-loving warmonger to use cowboy-asshole terminology”...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

The Iranians Take Trump for a Sucker

source: Wall Street Journal

How many times will President Trump pay Iran for the same real estate? Twice he has announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and twice he has given up U.S. leverage in exchange. Yet the strait remains closed, as Iran’s regime demands more.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Box office bomb: The just released theatrical documentary Lorne, about “Saturday Night Live’s” founder and creative spirit Lorne Michaels, tanked at the box office this weekend and Hollywood in Toto blames the show’s lefty politics.  “(T)he numbers shouldn’t come as a surprise,” writes Christian Toto. "'SNL'  hasn’t been entertaining for quite some time. The show’s hard-Left turn, combined with a lack of breakout stars, has hampered its once bulletproof brand.”  “Lorne” generated a paltry $270,000 in ticket sales in contrast to the February documentary about Melania you-know-who which brought in more than $7 million, per Toto... Last night, “60 Minutes” broadcast an alarming segment about Iran’s ongoing ability to make nuclear weapons, which completely challenged President Trump’s assertion that the country’s program was “obliterated.”  A nuclear expert interviewed for the segment on the popular CBS News program estimated that Iran has enough highly enriched uranium to make at least 10  nuclear bombs. I have many issues with CBS News’s lurch to the Right after Trump pal David Ellison bought the parent company last  year, but this report clearly did not support the administration’s point of view... Trump’s “Liquor Cabinet”: The Atlantic is reporting that FBI Director  Kash Patel “has alarmed colleagues with excessive drinking.” That prompted X user Billie Nelson to call Trump’s administration the liquor cabinet. Patel dropped a lawsuit on The Atlantic this morning. This will be a big ongoing story...SOS Flipper! The Free Press suggests in all seriousness sending in a pod of dolphins to help remove the mines from the Strait of Hormuz and open the sea lane to commercial traffic once again. For more than half a century the Navy has been training dolphins for this task. Worth noting: The 1973 film Day of the Dolphin, directed by Mike Nichols, was about training dolphins to use mines to carry out a political assassination...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. The Most Important Message of the War with Iran Is to Buy Guns and Ammo

source: Townhall

By Kurt Schlichter: We’ve seen what it looks like in Iran when a people can’t fight back. It’s a bloody mess. But the best way to avoid that bloody mess is to deter it. The only way to deter it is to guarantee that the killers will be lying dead themselves, and the only way to guarantee that is to guarantee the right to keep and bear arms.

Trump Takes on the Pope, and the Pope Gets Trumped

source: Townhall

The Pope is not only wrong, but he stepped out of his role as chief prelate for a major Christian denomination. He’s becoming more liberal with every day, and it’s distressing and disappointing.

Liberal Globalist Pope Leo Fights Trump and America First

source: WND

The mistake liberal globalist Pope Leo makes is that he attempts to use selective Scriptures that fit his preferred political narrative, misusing his religious authority to impose on all Christians his own Democrat views and disdain of President Trump.

Dems’ “Sgt Schultz Strategy” on Swalwell and Chavez

source: Blaze Media

In the 1960s American television comedy “Hogan’s Heroes,” one of the dupes of the Allied prisoners in Stalag 13 was Sergeant Schultz. Whenever he encountered, and he frequently did, evidence of the prisoners’ illicit activities, he would say, “I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know nothing!” to absolve himself from all blame.

God Gave Us Dogs to Make Up for Liberals

By Ray Cardello: Every time I venture to the other side to see what they are reporting, or not reporting, I realize these people are more fictional novelists than journalists. They are living in a fantasy world.

MTG Has Officially Gone Off the Rails

source: PJ Media

Marjorie Taylor Greene recently took to X to post a question about what “really happened” in Butler. "Corey Comperatore's family deserves to know the truth about Matthew Crooks and what happened in Butler," she wrote. "President Trump, of all people, should be leading the charge. Why isn't he? That's the question."

“Major” Christiane Amanpour Displays Hegseth Derangement Syndrome

source: Victory Girls

CNN’s own purveyor of Soviet-style agitprop Christiane Amanpour has tried to drag Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Amanpour bleated that Hegseth retired from the Army as a Major AND Amanpour’s own dogtag said Major. The implication, straight forward, is that Hegseth and Amanpour wore the same rank. Stop laughing.

Universities Cannot Survive as Left-Wing Echo Chambers

source: Washington Examiner

Trust in higher education is near an all-time low, and a new Yale University report suggests colleges have only themselves to blame. In addition to problems such as high prices and declining academic standards, the report highlighted that many universities have become “intellectual and ideological echo chambers, out of touch with the American nation and out of step with its political currents.”

If Anti-Trump Judges Don’t Get the Message Soon, the Country’s in Big Trouble

source: NY Post

It looks like the judicial lawfare against Team Trump is passing its peak, as feral federal jurists get slapped down and state justices learn they can’t break the law to serve the Resistance. Wednesday saw the comeuppance of obsessive anti-Trump Judge James Boasberg who  repeatedly arrogated to himself the authority to overrule the president on national immigration policy.

MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell Smears RFK Jr. as “Perverted, Racist Madman”

source: NewsBusters

On Thursday's "The Last Word," MS NOW host Lawrence O'Donnell used a selectively edited clip to portray HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a "deeply perverted racist madman" who wants to remove all black children from their parents and have them "reparented" by the government. In fact, the HHS secretary said no such thing.
