As Jen Senko showed in her compelling documentary "The Brainwashing of My Dad," there are tens of millions of mostly older white people who live in the deranged alternate reality created by Fox News (and the broader right-wing echo chamber).

She said that there should not be any science-based objections to re-opening precisely because the data show it is both safe and preferable to put students back into their classrooms.  But you would never know what McEnany meant from following members of the press, many of whom selectively edited her remarks to make her sound like a knuckle-dragging flat-earther.
