This bill is not only a threat to the Constitution of New York and the people of New York but also to everyone in America if you consider the way certain legislation can spread throughout America in this age of “crisis.”

The Washington Post claimed that in his talk with Raffensperger, Trump "repeatedly urged him to alter the outcome of the presidential vote in the state." This claim is false. The transcript of the call shows Trump demanding an honest accounting of the ballots, which he says would give him more than 11,000 votes.

On Saturday, Trump held a phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger about alleged voter fraud that took place during the 2020 election. During the call, the President demanded that Raffensperger take action as he claimed how he won the state of Georgia. To the President's surprise, Raffensperger's team leaked the phone call to the Washington Post who strategically edited the phone call to make Trump look bad.

Raffensperger released a private phone call that the media immediately claimed — falsely — showed Trump begging Raffensperger to fraudulently find enough votes for Trump to win. In fact, Trump called Raffensperger to get him to stop obstructing the fraud investigation.

Nothing in the call is surprising, especially if you are familiar with the things Trump has been saying since the election and if you recognize that Trump tends to speak in a clumsy, casual manner. The Washington Post selects some pieces of Trump’s dialogue to make it seem like he is asking Raffensperger to create votes and manufacture a Trump victory in Georgia.
