TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! And happy Earth Day, tree huggers and anyone who supports environmental protection (which includes myself).  I’m guessing it’s not on Donald Trump’s calendar...Tucker’s about-face: In his Monday podcast, Tucker Carlson apologized for “misleading people” about Donald Trump and said he was “tormented” about his support for the president.  It was an astonishing admission from the popular chatting head and former Fox News personality. Here’s the full podcast. It’s more than two hours long and I didn’t have the stomach to wade through and find the apology....Mamdani’s curse?  Sports fans following baseball are surely aware of the NY Mets jaw-dropping 12-game losing streak. And now the blame for that streak has fallen on NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani for hugging the team mascot in early April, which “cursed” the team, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “Some have speculated that Mamdani is punishing the Mets for giving their players too much money,” opined writer Andrew Stiles about the mayor who is a democratic socialist. “Another possible explanation is that Mamdani simply despises a sport that is widely regarded as ‘America's pastime.’ He prefers soccer, a so-called sport that is more accurately described as an anti-American abomination in which players compete to see who can fall down the most and pretend to be injured”....Townhall columnist Star Parker thinks the best speech about the meaning of the Declaration of Independence was delivered by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas April 15 at the University of Texas. Here’s the full one-hour recording of his presentation...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Radicals Wage War on Discount Stores

source: Newsmax

A group of Senate progressives recently introduced the "Fair Prices for Local Businesses Act," a proposal to expand a nearly century-old antitrust law. The pitch is simple: protect small businesses from unfair pricing. The reality is simpler still: this bill would make everyday discounts legally risky - and push prices up for everyone else.

Feds Indict SPLC for Paying White Supremacists to Stage “Hate Crimes”

source: WND

A federal grand jury in Alabama has delivered an 11-count indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center, which came to fame by suing the KKK into bankruptcy. Its next agenda was to incorrectly describe those with beliefs it disliked, Christians with pro-life and traditional marriage views, as "hate" organizations,

The Networks Fall Silent on the Indictment of the SPLC

source: NewsBusters

The Southern Poverty Law Center has long been utilized by the Elitist Media as a go-to when seeking to silence, shun or otherwise castigate conservatives by smearing them as “hate groups.” Perhaps this explains their reluctance to cover the Department of Justice’s indictment of the SPLC on multiple fraud charges.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Another Trump administration cast member bites the dust.  Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned yesterday, slinking out amidst a swirl of sordid allegations, including boozing on  the job and conducting an illicit relationship with a subordinate.  A White House spokesperson said Chavez-DeRemer was departing for a job in the private sector which is Trump-speak for lose our number...Dept. of Butt Kissing: This morning, in a loopy Truth Social post, The Donald once again reveals his pathological need for constant adulation.  In the wake of Tim Cook announcing he would soon step down as Apple CEO, Trump recalled  a conversation with him early in his first White House residency: “When I got the call I said, wow, it’s Tim Apple (Cook!) calling, how big is that? I was very impressed with myself to have the head of Apple calling to ‘kiss my ass’”...Just published: This Vast Enterprise, a new take on the epic Lewis and Clark 8,000-mile expedition to cross what is today’s continental United States.  The NY Times calls the nonfiction book a “page turner” in a rave review. I  can’t wait to read it.  “This Vast Enterprise” chronicles  one of my favorite stories about our nation’s history  and seems appropriate for the country’s 250th birthday...Subscriber Claudia Wheatley bristles with disdain at former EU ambassador Gordon Sondland’s description of getting Iran to back down is like breaking a horse.  “We don’t ‘break’ horses anymore, Gordie ol’ pal,” she wrote in a note to TheRighting regarding Sondland’s Fox News op-ed yesterday. “Now that they’re not essential to transportation and farming, we use kinder, gentler training methods. But leave it to a Trump-loving warmonger to use cowboy-asshole terminology”...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

The values of the senator from Georgia align more closely with those of ultra-wealthy donors than they do with those of hardworking, everyday Georgians. That’s why we need to oust Ossoff this November and send a Republican back to Capitol Hill to represent the Peach State.

We are in the midst of a Marxist upheaval going full throttle towards turning America into a Communist utopia. The symptoms are all there: censorship (aka “cancel culture”), indoctrination in the schools, network news deliberately becoming propaganda outlets.Another symptom is the slow strangulation of comics and comedy.
