TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The right-wing media flavor of the month has to be Byron Donalds, who last night won the crowded GOP primary for governor of Florida to succeed Ron DeSantis.  As a young Black conservative – and Trump favorite - in a state with the third largest number electoral college votes, he’s likely to be mentioned as a candidate for president in 2032 (is it too early to discuss?). That is, assuming he wins in November, which seems like a safe bet...Of course we know this. Rich Lowry, the National Review’s influential editor, wrote an article with this simple but truthful headline: “Kim Jong-un is not our friend.” Let’s hope Natalie “The Human Printer” Harp sticks a copy of the story under President Trump’s nose today...Nazi? Fierce Trump critic Rosie O’Donnell, who is guest-hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week, implied that CBS News honcho Bari Weiss might be a Nazi in an interview with Variety. That didn’t sit well with Christian Toto of the right-wing blog Hollywood in Toto. “O’Donnell will face no repercussions for saying such cruel, fact-free things,” Toto writes. “Heck, she may have to come back to America again with the amount of work that will fall on her agent’s desk.” Worth noting: O’Donnell, who famously left America for Ireland after Trump got re-elected, refers to POTUS as the Mango Mussolini, after the fascist Italian dictator...Bummer article of the day: The American Conservative points to the many reasons for America’s “declining empire” and its “ugly truths”...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. How Radical Will the Democrats Get?

Frustration with the economy is fueling the rise of the DSA, and it may not fade by 2028.

The Left Calls Republicans “Extreme” While They Cozy Up to Communism

Apparently, Republicans are the extremists and not the Democrats whose every policy seems to be the opposite of being pro-American.

AOC Is Unfit to Lead the Country

source: Townhall

AOC refuses to pay back her student loans, despite earning $173,000 a year as a member of Congress. That's a red flag that she's fiscally irresponsible and holds taxpayers in utter disdain.

Don’t Buy the Lefties’ Crocodile Tears Over the USS Abraham Lincoln Crew

source: NY Post

Yes, the Lincoln’s deployment has been long, but its conditions are hardly rare for the military, especially in wartime. This got so much attention simply because it’s a way to slam Trump & Co.

Cable Journalists Abruptly Develop Empathy for Service Members at Sea

source: NewsBusters

Depending on which show you’re watching, the fault for the conditions on the Lincoln lies either with whomever the anchor happens to dislike more: President Trump, or with Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The Never-Trumpers Are Back and This Time Their Target Is JD Vance

source: The Federalist

As we near the halfway point of President Donald Trump’s second term, the neocon establishment is openly scheming to reclaim the Republican Party. That’s why they’re attacking his proxy and likely successor, Vice President J.D. Vance, attempting to paint him as a socialist of the “woke right.”

At this point, the WNBA should just either fire everyone in leadership, or go buy a backbone. The days of fence-sitting on the trans issue is costing them.

Someone Changed James Carville’s Medication

source: Conservative View from NH

Over the last few months, Carville has been nothing less than apoplectic when anyone suggested that a DSA member was a member of the Democratic Party. Just last week, he was on record saying if the DSA was brought under the Democrat tent, then he was leaving the Party.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) turned in a disappointing performance on MS NOW last night after host Jen Psaki asked him to clarify his weekend comments that Trump just wants to “fly with Natalie (Harp),”  the president’s attractive executive assistant who follows him everywhere. The  Victory Girls’ Deanna Fisher said the quiet part out loud. “Jon Ossoff is trying to be cute by bringing up President Trump aide Natalie Harp, and alleging that the president is having an affair,” she wrote. Ossoff’s remarks ricocheted throughout social media channels yet the senator twice avoided Psaki’s direct questioning. For a politician with  presidential ambitions, it was a prime time fail. Ossoff also needs better handlers. He had a serious five-o’clock shadow reminiscent of Dick Nixon’s dark beard during his much-disparaged 1960 televised debate with JFK. And his shirt didn’t fit him properly. RedState also noticed his flop and for once I agree with the right-wing outlet...Bad news for Republicans? The Daily Caller believes that comedian Shane Gillis, who is popular with conservatives, could be the “most important bellwether” of the midterm elections.  And that could spell trouble for the GOP.  The Caller reports that Gillis has “soured” on POTUS. The “change from Trump-friendly to Trump-skeptical may not have mattered much in 2025. But in a crucial election year, it matters quite a bit”...After former Clinton VP Al Gore won an Oscar in 2006 for his climate-doom documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” a wave of climate-change movies flooded theaters, according to Hollywood in Toto.  They include: “Snowpiercer,” “Merchants of Doubt,” “Don’t Look Up,” “The 11th Hour,” “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” and “Geostorm.” Despite all the attention the subject receives from Hollywood, the blog notes the vast majority of voters don’t care about the issue...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
