Kamala Harris (D-CA) rolled out a plan to offer grants up to $25,000 to low-income black individuals to help with a down payment and closing costs on home purchases….That grant pushes the buyer into a more expensive mortgage, as well, costing $485 extra per month, plus additional property taxes on the higher value, plus additional cost to insure the home.

 Manafort, found guilty solely for white-collar crimes, will be placed in solitary confinement — “for his own safety.” Virtually everyone who has written about solitary confinement, both on the right and the left, deems it torture. Manafort will therefore be tortured after being sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for fraud.

Shareholder activists are taking direct aim at companies – such as oil companies and gun manufacturers – by abusing rules that publicly traded companies must follow to promote a far-left agenda.  Heat and cold can still be killer, but thanks to increasingly reliable and affordable heating and cooling systems, and others luxuries of the age, the vast majority of Americans will never have to fear the climate in any genuine way. Since 1980, death caused by all natural disasters and heat and cold is somewhere under 0.5 percent.
