Trump Links Most to Fox News Channel and RSBN in May, Exclusive Research Reveals

June 19, 2024, New York, NY – Former president Donald Trump linked to Fox News Channel more than any other news source in May, according to TheRighting’s first-ever analysis of his May 2024 link activity.  TheRighting studied dozens of links and ReTruths on his Truth Social account and his website DonaldJTrump.com and found that Trump linked 56 times last month to content from Fox News Channel.  The little known Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) ranked as the second-most-linked Trump news source in May, with 26 links to Trump’s Truth Social account.

“This analysis shows that despite Mr. Trump’s hot and cold relationship with the Fox News Channel, it was clearly his number one choice in May to shower his followers with links to content that he obviously felt were aligned with his messages,” said Howard Polskin, President and Founder, TheRighting.  “The big surprise was his preference for fringe outlets like RSBN and Real America’s Voice over more established outlets like the Washington Examiner and the Washington Times.”

Right wing news sources that were completely ignored by Trump in May on Truth Social and DonaldJTrump.com include Daily Signal, Epoch times, Frank Speech, The Gateway Pundit, Infowars, RedState, Blaze Media and Western Journal.  The Wall Street Journal was only linked to once.

Trump also linked several times in May to mainstream news sources including the Associated Press, The New  York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, Politico, The New Yorker, NBC News and Reuters.  “While Trump consistently disparages mainstream or progressive news outlets as ‘fake news,’ he’ll link to those sources if it shows the Biden campaign or Democrats in a poor light,” said Polskin.

TheRighting’s analysis showed that Trump ReTruthed content from several prominent figures on the right including Kari Lake, Dan Scavino, Kash Patel, Ronny Jackson, Tom Fitton and Melania Trump.
