We all knew Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s rebuttal to President Donald Trump’s primetime address would be nothing but a joke. None of us really knew just how bad it would truly be though.

If Trump has a sense of humor and a sense of how little we know about the finances of our Congress and how sensitive members of Congress are about their personal finances, he would propose that on a specific date, he, along with all elected members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, be required to release their tax returns or be faced with enormous fines.

Why did Romney believe he needed to write this now — as his first volley — instead of first expressing his intention of trying to work with Trump to move his agenda forward in what promises to be a very tumultuous time? Why would Romney choose to publish his piece in the overtly liberal Washington Post?

Liberal journalists are all too happy to “fact check” everything the President says, no matter how insignificant, as if flooding the zone will somehow bring about a critical mass that turns off support. What it really does is drown out all of it, and the petty nature of most of it leads the larger issues to be dismissed as well.

It appears that in 2018, because of the Trump tax cuts and deregulation, the U.S. economy will have its first year of 3 percent growth in over a decade. Black unemployment, 5.9 percent, and white unemployment, 3.4 percent, are at historic lows. And the gap between black and white unemployment has dramatically shrunk, showing that blacks are, in an unprecedented way, participating in the economic recovery.

Journalists in media were so blinded by their hatred of Trump that they could not see the constant negativity was backfiring. People dropped their subscriptions to biased newspapers and cable TV. People turned to news from bloggers, Facebook friends and conservative outlets in order to avoid the bias of traditional news sources.

What Trump implied is that he had given them a raise of roughly 10%. At 2.4% per year times 4 years he will have overseen a raise of 9.6% for the troops in his first term. Comparatively over Obama’s last 4 years that administration served up a whopping 1.25% pay raise per year equalling roughly half of Trump’s raise over an equally comparable period of time.

Kurt Schlichter: Liberalism was always a lie and a scam, right from its sordid beginnings among the progressives with their creepy messianic fervor, their infatuation with “expertise” (and hence, their embrace of evils like eugenics), and their contempt for the Constitution. Liberals consider themselves the anointed, divinely entitled to rule over us lesser folk, and they aren’t going to let anything get in the way of retaking the throne.

And then he should pardon himself…Trump has already shown he’s willing to use his power – that’s one of his best qualities.

Maybe reporters and anchors considered their largely favorable and complimentary coverage of the man in death as penance for their earlier sins during his life, but they still should be held accountable for what they said about him when it mattered.

Barr is likely to drive Democrats nuts given that he’s passed Senate confirmation proceedings more than once, including for the SAME JOB to which he is being submitted. In other words, absent some fraternity girl-turned-Democratic operative suddenly “remembering” that time Barr fondled her at a 1968 dorm party, any opposition is likely to be based on politics alone.

By now, this rhetoric is familiar. You can go back to 1970, when Harvard biologist George Wald, riding a wave of popular environmental panic during the decade, estimated, “Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.”

Kurt Schlichter: Congressjerk Eric Swalwell is the MSNBC stalwart who wrote an op-ed advocating that the government confiscate the guns that make people like him wet themselves and imprison those of us who decline to surrender them. Millions of Americans own these basic tools of freedom.

Michelle Malkin: This week’s partisan corpse abusers callously exploited the passing of George H.W. Bush, America’s 41st president, to get in their digs at the current commander in chief. Their vulgar level of incivility was inversely propositional to their sanctimonious calls for decency.

So, in typical blue state fashion, New Jersey is mulling giving illegals driver’s licenses. The state has a new liberal governor. And yes, he’s insufferable like the rest of his party.

Kurt Schlichter: The death of President George H. W. Bush provided liberals and their Fredocon houseboys yet another opportunity to lament the fact that all Republicans aren’t dead. Their feigned amnesia about what libs were saying while Bush 41 was still in the arena, and their latest hack attempt to tsk tsk tsk tsk about how the Bad Orange Man isn’t like [Insert Name of Dead Republican Here] serves to justify the prophylactic cynicism that we Normals should strive to cultivate.

Kurt Schlichter: Trump was a warning. Know that what comes next is worse, if you consider Trump terrible. The elite hopes it can stamp out this infernal uppitiness by directing petty oppressions at those who won’t toe the leftist line, but that won’t suppress the resentment the elite has created.

Regardless of political affiliation, we should be proud to live in a society founded on eternal truths, in which we have the ability to thrive based on our own choices.

Kurt Schlichter: The Democrat Party is giving up on reproduction – it doesn’t help that they seem to be suspicious that anyone who actually carries a baby to term is sufficiently liberal. That’s why they want to import caravans of foreigners, to replace their dwindling voter base.

The adage “with age comes wisdom” is biblically based and objectively observable — except, perhaps, in the case of Pelosi and her old-guard Democrats. They have invited all types of radicals into their coalition, so they can hardly complain when the fruit of their poisonous tree begins to blossom.
