McConnell Opponent Attended Dinner Hosted by Radical Muslim Group CAIR

As Democrat Amy McGrath was laying the groundwork for her Senate bid against Mitch McConnell, she attended a dinner hosted by the Kentucky chapter of a radical anti-Israel organization that has been tied to funding of global terror networks. The Kentucky chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, known best as CAIR, posted multiple pictures of McGrath in attendance at its annual dinner on May 11, 2019.

Texas Tribune Smears Sheriff Over Immigrant Crime Claim

The Texas Tribune corrected an article Thursday that took a Texas sheriff’s words out of context to smear him. The paper initially claimed the sheriff referred to immigrants as “drunks who would run over your children and they will run over my children” before amending the article to include necessary context. The sheriff was specifically referring to illegal immigrants who are repeat criminal offenders, and was not trying to generalize about all immigrants.

Warren Pushes to Tax, Regulate Investments That Enriched Her

Elizabeth Warren’s plan to crack down on the private equity industry would place stringent regulations on a source of funds that helped enrich her as a law professor at Harvard. The plan, which would heavily tax and regular private equity firms to stop what Warren has called Wall Street’s “legalized looting,” could also end up hurting her former Harvard colleagues and Massachusetts retirees.
