Headlines you’d expect to see on the Huffington Post are now in that familiar black text on white background. Maybe he’s sick of nothing being done on the border is one theory.

The crux of the prosecution’s case was that Stone colluded with WikiLeaks and the Russians to obtain Clinton crony John Podesta’s emails. What actually happened was Stone exaggerated the significance of some tips he had gotten about getting the emails. He didn’t lie about his dealings with WikiLeaks because he wasn’t in direct contact with the news source.

Washington lawyer Mark Zaid, literally tweeted about his plans for a coup just days after President Trump took office. Not only did Zaid write that a “coup has started” and that “impeachment will follow ultimately,” but, a few months later, he was nice enough to advertise who would participate in this usurpation of the democratic will, predicting that “@CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president.”

Breathless media coverage anticipated the “history” about to be made Wednesday morning as two witnesses prepared to regale Congress with testimony about President Trump’s Ukraine phone call and the issues surrounding it. History was surely made. Never before had the wheels of impeachment been set into motion on such a threadbare basis. With Democrat “star” witnesses like these, who needs Republicans?

After three long years of promising proof of Trump’s corruption, collusion, and contempt for the very basic institutions of our government, Democrats now have to turn over their cards and show the country what they have. If they can’t produce a smoking gun, if they don’t have a knock-out punch, then their party is in serious trouble.

“Confronting” police – which is the polite way of pointing out people being complete a-holes to cops – is now a point of pride on the left. Why not? When you’ve been told police are racist monsters who start their shifts hoping to be able to harass minorities, why wouldn’t you view them as the enemy?

Name the Democrat who is super-excited to have Michael Bloomberg barge into the Dem primaries like some nutty ex-girlfriend who gave you crabs popping in at your wedding. Where is the groundswell of support behind this pint-sized presidential aspirant? Perhaps the Democratic consultants who didn’t sign up with one of the other goofy candidates are happy. The micro-zillionaire may not have charisma or a vision or actual human support, but he’s got endless bucks to squander on electoral parasites.

As we think specifically about which three firearms are best for dealing with large-scale civil unrest, it helps to imagine hypothetical situations. Imagine, for example, that a mob of Antifa “anti-fascists” decided to converge upon your town. In other words, imagine a typical weekend in Portland. Imagine further that the mob moved into your neighborhood and that they crossed your property line.

Derek Hunter: I’m not proud of watching this cheesy reality show last Monday, but I’m going to watch it again. And I’m going to vote again, 20 times, all for Sean Spicer. They’ve been raised not to keep score, because losing could damage their psyche. Their walls are covered in participation ribbons and the area between their ears is marinated in praises of adequacy. When you’ve been told your existence makes you special by people who were supposed to prepare you for adulthood, adulthood becomes a scary place.

Kurt Schlichter: Our garbage elite talks a good game about its service and moral superiority, but if our betters were actually better than us, we would not be having this national conversation about how awful they are.  The fact is that what they want to do is go back to the way it was before Trump, back to 2015, aka the year 1 BT – Before Trump. Back then, progressive Democrats got their bizarre social pathologies normalized.

Lara Trump: There’s a certain irreverent, populist “realness” to my father’s-in-law much-maligned Twitter account and off-the-cuff remarks to the press. His down-to-earth style is out of place in the Washington, D.C., swamp-world of uptight professional politicians, but that’s exactly what makes him so appealing to regular people. Conan’s big moment is a perfect example of the phenomenon.
