Washington Examiner Records 13th Straight Month of Traffic Gains to Lead All Conservative Media

The Washington Examiner registered its 13th consecutive month of year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of January 2020 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.  The Examiner added 5.4 million more YOY unique visitors in January 2020 as traffic surged from 8,317,000 in January 2019, to 13,783,000 last month.  The last time the Examiner experienced a dip in YOY traffic was December 2018. 

Foxnews.com Audience Surges 10% in October

“A ten percent increase for a site with a such a large base shows growing consumer desire for Foxnews.com content,” said Howard Polskin. “What’s even more significant is that the news environment last month was relatively placid especially compared to October 2018 when stories like the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, the murder of Jamal Khasshogi and the massacre at the Pittsburgh synagogue dominated headlines and captured the public’s attention.”

Three top conservative news websites continued their winning ways in 2019 by posting their eighth straight month of year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors. According to the TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of August traffic based on Comscore data, TheBlaze (+129%), the Washington Examiner (+119%) and the Washington Times (+35%) all experienced significant YOY traffic growth last month.

Breitbart Posts First Traffic Increase Since March 2017

Breitbart snapped its streak of 27 consecutive months of losing traffic by posting an 8% increase in year-over-year (YOY) unique visits in July. According to the TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of traffic to conservative websites in July 2019 based on Comscore data, Breitbart recorded 6,407,000 unique visits compared to 5,925,000 in July 2018.

TheBlaze Records 7th Consecutive Month of Traffic Gains

TheBlaze.com posted its seventh consecutive month of year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of traffic to conservative websites in May 2019, using Comscore data. In May 2019, TheBlaze recorded 6,403,000 unique visitors, a gain of 2,580,000 unique visitors compared to May 2018, a 67% increase.

Year-Over-Year Unique Visitors to the Washington Examiner Rise 87%

The Washington Examiner posted its third consecutive month of strong gains in year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of traffic to conservative websites using Comscore data.  The Examiner’s strong performance helped it become March’s second-most-trafficked US conservative website for the first since TheRighting began tracking the size of right-wing online audiences. 

Infowars, Washington Examiner and WND Among Top Conservative Gainers for July

Infowars was one of the largest percentage gainers of the month, recording an increase in audience visits of 11.29%.  According to TheRighting’s analysis of SimilarWeb’s data, 5.1% of Infowars’ desktop traffic came from Facebook.  Overall, 10.46% of all Infowars’ desktop traffic came from a variety of social media platforms including Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.

Audience Visits to Foxnews.com Surge Almost 11% in June

Fox News attracted 346,100,000 audience visits to its website in June, a gain of 10.61% compared to May 2018, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of SimilarWeb data. Fox News was not only the leading conservative website for the month in total audience visits, but it generated an increase of 33,200,000 visits vs. May, by far the largest increase of any right-wing media outlet.
