There’s no proof that Josh Donaldson’s comment echoed a racial undertone. However, a white athlete in question must now prove to those who cover sports that they are not racist. Racist is the default. The demand for racism in sports so strongly outstrips the supply that pundits often have to manufacture examples. And that’s a line too far for Stephen A. Smith.

NY Yankees pitching star Nestor Cortes has gone dark on Twitter after select users targeted the lefty for using racially insensitive language. And in typical cancel culture fashion, the tweets proved to be entirely irrelevant. The incriminating tweets were rap lyrics first posted by Cortes 10 years ago, when the pitcher was only 17 years of age.

Though all of the View ladies are rather infuriated that the Supreme Court voted in a first draft to overturn Roe v. Wade, no one is taking it harder than Behar.

AppleTV+ made former ESPN host Katie Nolan a member of its Friday Night Baseball booth this season and baseball fans aren’t enjoying her commentary. However, Nolan says the issue is not that she isn’t a skilled baseball analyst but rather that baseball fans are simply sexist…She is one of the most privileged personalities in sports media, yet she is declaring herself the victim yet again.

Trevor Noah took shots at both Democrats and Republicans during a roast at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner. And while ridiculing both political parties diverges from his commentary on the Daily Show, Noah couldn’t erase the fact that he isn’t, well, funny.

The Discovery media company acquired CNN’s parent company WarnerMedia in a spin-off merger with AT&T in April. One of the primary goals for this merger is to re-establish CNN as a credible news agency. Yet a new Discovery project casts doubt on that objective. This week, the Discovery streaming service announced a new series called Generation Drag which follows five teens on their journey onto the drag queen stage.

Joy Reid will finish April with her lowest-rated month on MSNBC yet. Despite the heavy news cycle, ReidIn — or whatever she calls her show –– declined 31 percent from last April…If you are going to be racist on tv, the rule is you ought to be a ratings draw. Reid is only the former, a racist. Anyone with a few months of television experience could replace Reid and embarrass the network less. That’s how low the bar is.

Race Theory with Bomani Jones ended its first season on Sunday by losing almost all of the viewers his lead-in, John Oliver, handed him. Eighty percent of them, to be exact. And if it weren’t for Oliver, Jones would draw a CNN+ number. The one week Oliver was off, Jones failed to crack even 45,000 viewers. Race Theory is the lowest-rated show in modern HBO history.

LeBron is one of the most unlikeable public figures in the news today. He has declared American police officers racist criminals while silencing those who want to speak out against Chinese human rights violations. LeBron also isn’t too bright.

Make America Rock Again. That was the message former President Donald Trump preached during a virtual appearance at a Kid Rock concert in Nashville last week. Could California soon become tired of the Democratic party? If you were to ask HBO Real Time host Bill Maher, he thinks this could become a reality in the near future.  During an appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show” Tuesday, Maher said that Californians will soon say “fu*k it” to Democrats.

Stern is an embarrassment. In addition to demanding endless mask mandates, Stern has also recently berated Oprah Winfrey for celebrating Christmas and begged the federal government to step in and punish the unvaccinated. ESPN interrupted a college basketball game twice on Friday to denounce Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, known as “Don’t Say Gay.” Notably, Elle Duncan called the bill a “threat.” In other words, an ESPN host stopped a live basketball game to complain that teachers can no longer discuss sex with 6-year-olds. Sort of creepy, no?

Reporting negatively on Simmons is easy. He’s a pompous white guy. Jones is a black man who has made a career out of calling people racist. Simmons doesn’t talk much about race. Media writers are insecure, their bosses are fragile. The last thing they want to do is risk someone on Twitter calling them racist.

Jones has even recently said that white people are the problem in the NFL, in his life and in America…Media executives, who are mostly white and mostly cowards, .want to prove they are not racist so that they can survive. They think promoting a host like Jones who has an anti-white fetish will help them in that endeavor.
